A Chip In is a shot that can be performed in the Mario Golf series. When the player gets the golf ball in the Hole when they are not striking from the green, it is called a Chip In. So if the player strikes the ball from a Bunker or even the Fairway and gets it in the cup, it counts as a Chip In. The player gets no extra turns, points, or powers for performing this; it is merely a signal of how well the player is doing.
