Larry Koopa: Difference between revisions

Larry, along with the rest of his siblings, make their ''Super Smash Bros.'' debut as unlockable playable characters accessible via "palette swaps" of Bowser Jr.. He is treated as a separate character, having his own voice, and the announcer calls him by name, but his attacks are identical to Bowser Jr.. Larry can appear in place of Bowser Jr. in All-Star mode, like the other Koopalings, and he can be faced as an opponent in rounds 4 and 5 in Classic mode if the player chooses the defeated Bowser Jr. as a team member against another Bowser Jr.. The rim and propeller of his Koopa Clown Car are colored light blue, his signature color, and has a different face. He is voiced by Lani Minella. As such, he and his siblings reuse their voice clips from their appearance in ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii''. His trophy in the English versions claims that he is the leader of the Koopalings, although due to a result of an out of context translation of his Japanese title, "Boss Minion" which is actually meant to be interpreted that he's a minion among bosses since he's the youngest Koopaling. It also references that he is usually the first to be fought so he, in a sense, leads the charge. His Wii U trophy corrects this by calling him the youngest<ref name=NP/>, (the European version's trophy, however, was left unchanged for unknown reasons, presumably from failing to realize the the context's actual meaning). The title given to Larry in the [[Boxing Ring]] is "The Youngest" (NA)<ref>[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgZzlL6k3II Smash Bros. Wii U: All Character Aliases on Punch-Out Stage]</ref> or "Leader of the Seven Minions" (PAL)<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcNehbSwQAo Super Smash Bros. Wii U - All PAL Boxing Ring Aliases]</ref> in the Wii U version (Boss Minion in the Japanese version).
