:Well the whole thing is a confusion but as a general rule Red Koopas hover and Green Koopas hop. If you want to mention it in the Trivia section or somewhere else go ahead but these small details are sometimes better just to be overlooked to prevent even more confusion. I think the wording was changed, as there were 3 beta characters with CSS Icons (excluding Mii Outfit C) for Mario Kart Wii, them being Hammer Bro, Petey Piranha, and Paratroopa. That was probably how there were three characters. Also, in my opinion, the four Mario Kart 7 newcomers don't count, since they weren't introduced at the time of Mario Kart Wii and no one thought of including them. And now, a moment of silence for our other underappreciated characters, Sergeant Flutter's Troopas. In the original Japanese version, these Sky Troopas / Paratroopas (パタパタ) have a unique name: パタパ隊 (a play on "Paratroopa" and "team"). Unfortunately, it looks like they fell by the wayside once again, at least as far as the English script goes. Well, Goomba and Booster's Snifits were split into their own articles before it was cool, so maybe we can do the same here <s>and cross our fingers for next time</s>.
