If the player agrees to do so, the Cosmic Spirit will transform into a blue orb and encircle Mario's body, gaining control of him and carry out the Cosmic Guide mode. The Cosmic Spirit will lead Mario to the Power Star. If the player feels that he/she can take care of the rest, he/she can press the Direction pad on the [[Wii|Wii Remote]] to regain control of Mario. However, upon activating the Cosmic Guide, the Power Star will instantly degrade to a [[Bronze Star]].

On a side note, the Cosmic Spirit has some similarities to [[Cosmic Mario|Cosmic Mario]] and [[Cosmic Mario|Cosmic Luigi]]; they're all cosmic counterparts to actual characters (Cosmic Spirit to Rosalina, Cosmic Mario to Mario, and Cosmic Luigi to [[Luigi]]). However, Cosmic Mario and Cosmic Luigi antagonized players instead of helping them.

*The coloration of the Cosmic Spirit is very similar to the coloration of the inside of [[Count Bleck]]'s shadowy cape, as both feature dark blue starry sky-like colorations that remain stationary independent of the movements of the character. Her appearance is also very similar to that of [[Cosmic Mario|Cosmic Mario/Luigi]], right down to the coloration and lack of visible eyes.
*Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla is the only boss galaxy in which the Cosmic Spirit appears, and therefore the only galaxy where one can potentially get a bronze [[Grand Star]] if she is used.
