'''The Cave Of The Bandits''' is the second level of [[World 6 (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)|World 6]] in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' and ''[[Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3]]''. As the name suggests, this level takes place in a cave filled with [[Bandit]]s, and is the only level to feature more than one [[Bandit|Coin Bandit]]. This level's playable [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] is the pink Yoshi.

==Overview==
The level has a volcanic theme. [[Mushroom Platform]]s can be found throughout the stage. Some of them conceal Bandits, who occasionally glance around the corner as they wait for an ambush. [[Yoshi]] has to watch out for these foes, as they lurk all around the area, and may snatch [[Baby Mario]] from him subtly.

Yoshi must first get past a couple of Bandits and a [[Boo Guy]], above which is a [[Winged Cloud]] containing [[Star (Yoshi's Island series)|Star]]s. Below a nearby bucket is a Coin Bandit carrying the first [[Red Coin]], with two more following shortly thereafter. Lava begins to appear, as do [[Lava Bubble]]s. After Yoshi passes an [[Egg Block]], he encounters more Bandits, including one dropped from a balloon and another being a Coin Bandit carrying a Red Coin. There are two Winged Clouds nearby - the ones on the left and right contain a [[Smiley Flower|Special Flower]] and more Stars, respectively. After crossing more lava using Mushroom Platforms, Yoshi finds another Egg Block. The grey material here can be broken to get to a Special Flower and some [[Zeus Guy]]s attempting to break through. Following this are two [[Flatbed Ferry|Flatbed Ferries]], one horizontally moving and one vertically moving, above lava. A [[Fly Guy]] appears between them, carrying an [[extra life]]. After another Winged Cloud containing Stars, Yoshi moves on to the next section.

The next area begins with a [[Checkpoint Ring|Middle Ring]]. [[Little Skull Mouser]]s and Bandits lurk nearby, some hiding. Several [[coin]]s, including Red Coins, an Egg Block, and a Special Flower all appear in the area. A Winged Cloud containing Stars is concealed behind a thin layer of grey wall. Up ahead, over a slope, is a [[Baseball Boy]] which bats a [[Chomp Rock]] down toward Yoshi. After an Egg Block and a Bandit held from a balloon, Yoshi encounters [[Wild Ptooie Piranha]]s and more lava bubbles. The fourth Special Flower is contained in a Winged Cloud in between them. Toward the end are various enemies, including Baseball Boys, Wild Ptooie Piranhas, and Little Skull Mouser.

The final appear has a floor of spikes. A Middle Ring and a [[Super Star]] are provided. [[Superstar Mario]] must collect Stars and run across the spikes all the way to the end, avoiding enemies, collecting coins, and obtaining the fifth and final Special Flower before reaching the [[Goal Ring]].
