World 6: Bowser in Your Sights is the sixth world featured in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This world contains a large, orange-red black hole and is at the center of the universe. It holds seven galaxies, the last of which is Bowser's Galaxy Generator, which features the third and last encounter with Giant Bowser.

This galaxy is completely covered in lava, with a magma tide that rises and falls every so often. The main obstacle here is the magma and its tide. As the name suggests, the most common enemies in the galaxy include giant lava monsters known as Magmaarghs and Magmaws. This galaxy takes place in a temple-like area with statues of many creatures. The galaxy includes new gimmicks such as rolling millstones and walls that push the player out of the gravitational force. Pegs are also introduced in this level and are used to reach the Power Star. Throwback Galaxy
This galaxy is a redesigned Whomp's Fortress

from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The music is a jazzy arrangement of the original Super Mario 64 main theme, as the original version was also played on Whomp's Fortress. Although the course is generally identical, a few minor changes have been made.

Battle Belt Galaxy
The galaxy is unique in that in order for Mario or Luigi to advance, he will need to defeat every enemy on a planet. The enemies start easily with foes such as Goombas, Urchins, Li'l Cinders, and Crabbers. However, the planets will get progressively more complex with enemies like Jack O'Goombas, Boos, Li'l Brrs, and Undergrunts. This galaxy takes place in a large mansion. However, everything is pitch black except for the occasional second of lightning, which shows the area. In addition, many gaps are in the ground. Yoshi is found here and the level makes extensive use of the Blimp Fruit. Common enemies and obstacles here include Mines, Jack O'Goombas, and Flaptacks. This level mostly takes place under water. It makes extensive use of the Green Shell to move around underwater. Common enemies here include Snoodles, Urchins, and Boos. Bowser's Galaxy Generator
Bowser's Galaxy Generator
This is the final main galaxy in the game and where Bowser is fought. The galaxy uses elements from every part of the game, such as Snake Blocks and drilling. Yoshi will also be needed to bypass certain obstacles, but he can't be used in the final battle.

The power-ups found here are the Cloud Flower, Blimp Fruit, Spin Drill, and Dash Pepper. The galaxy has many obstacles such as lava and electricity. Common enemies here include Magikoopas, Banzai Bills, Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., and Magmaarghs.
