World 5-8 is the eighth normal and eleventh overall level of Sky Land in Super Mario Bros. 3. This level is playable upon beating World 5-
Fortress 2. This level's completion unlocks access to World 5-9.
LayoutEdit
This level begins with Mario standing on a cloud platform. To his right are two more cloud platforms, one above the other. The top cloud has four ? Blocks. The third one produces either a Super Mushroom or Super Leaf. The other three give Mario a coin. To the right is another cloud platform that can be reached by clearing a gap with a simple jump. There is another gap and cloud platform to the right of this one. On this platform, a Lakitu that throws Spinies appears. Mario must make his way over many gaps to reach small cloud platforms. A few platforms later, a red Koopa Troopa walks along the cloud. If Mario gets past this platform, he encounters another red Koopa Troopa on the next one. Above the second Koopa Troopa's platform is a small platform with a single ? Block. This block produces a Super Mushroom or Super Leaf when hit. To the right of this platform is another gap that leads to a small cloud. In between these clouds a red Koopa Paratroopa flies up and down. Mario encounters another red Koopa Paratroopa on the next platform after that. This platform with the second Koopa Paratroopa leads to a Warp Pipe that Mario must run through. This pipe drops Mario on another cloud that leads to the goal. Another Lakitu appears and throws more Spinies until Mario touches the goal.
