World 13 (Dr. Mario World)

World 13 is an underground crystal cavern world resembling Tilted Tunnel from New Super Mario Bros. U in Dr. Mario World. The first area is available as of 1 AM PT on Mar. 5, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 2 AM PT on Mar. 19, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, Bony Beetles, Bone Goombas, and Swoops appear. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, yellow and blue, with the exception of one stage, which has green viruses in addition to blue.

This stage introduces bubble machines, which will activate when a match adjacent to it is made and will cover a virus or certain objects in a bubble when another match adjacent to it is made. The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. The Brick Blocks in the fifth row contain hidden viruses.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, collect all purple coins and collect all keys. In this stage, three rows containing four purple coins in bubbles are below three rows of viruses. Bubble machines can be found between the rows of viruses. Caged purple coins do not need to be unlocked to be able to pop its bubble.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The purple coins originally found in the eighth row.
  2. The purple coins originally found in the sixth row.
  3. The purple coins originally found in the fourth row.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, half-frozen viruses are found in the formation of a diamond with a bubble machine in the middle. Brick Blocks form a border in the shape of a diamond around the ones near ice fans being half-frozen. The ones that are not frozen contain hidden viruses. Additionally, there are two bubble viruses originally near the ice fans.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and destroy all Brick Blocks. In this stage, Brick Blocks behind cages are found on the three leftmost columns and three rightmost columns, with bubble viruses and the lock blocks corresponding to the opposite cages in between. The middle three columns just contain viruses.

The objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins. On the three leftmost columns and the three rightmost columns, colorful crates are lined in four columns, along with floatie viruses and Brick Blocks containing hidden viruses between the columns of colorful crates. The middle columns contain viruses in groups of nine above a row of bubble machines. All virus coins are sized 3x3 and are found among the first to third rows and fifth to seventh rows.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (including those that appear from flasks) and collect all purple coins. In this stage, caged purple coins surround barrels, with some partially revealing its contents that include exploders and viruses. All but one unbroken barrel contain viruses, in which a purple coins if hidden there instead. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either shells or viruses.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coin in the middle, undamaged barrel.
  2. The coins surrounding the barrels.

The objective of this stage is to collect all purple coins and collect all keys. In this stage, viruses forming a diamond are shrouded in clouds and are between keys and doors. The Brick Blocks from the seventh to tenth rows contain keys and the Brick Blocks from the second to fifth rows contain doors. A formation of purple coins is found next to the Brick Blocks containing doors.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all yellow viruses (eliminating red and blue viruses do not contribute to the objective). In this stage, the middle yellow viruses are locked behind cages and surrounded by yellow colorful crates and Empty Blocks in the middle three columns. In the other columns, yellow viruses are found in pairs except for one which is paired with a yellow lock block, where they are next to Brick Blocks. Fully-frozen red and blue viruses are also available.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, destroy all colorful crates and collect all keys. In this stage, the middle column contains Brick Blocks and a door in bubbles, with the door starting from a position between columns of crates until the end where Brick Blocks would be next to it. Colorful crates in groups of three-in-a-row are available, with viruses occupying the rest of the spaces except for the middle column.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 5 lines are introduced.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, collect all coins from Coin Blocks and collect all purple coins. In this stage, two shells are found in the middle column, where they are aligned with viruses and purple coins. Clearing the blue lock block unlocks cages containing viruses in the rows containing Empty Blocks while clearing the red lock block unlocks the cages containing Brick Blocks containing coins.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coins in the same rows as the shells.
  2. The coins in the leftmost and rightmost columns.
  3. The coins in the third and seventh rows.
  4. The rest of the coins in the second and eighth rows.

The last stage of the first area, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all purple coins. In this stage, all colorful crates are wrapped in bubbles, with several of them floated upwards toward viruses. The initial three rows and the three rows after that also contain half-frozen coins and viruses covered in dust. Brick Blocks do not contain anything.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coin initially at the third row.
  2. The coin initially at the second row.
  3. The coin initially at the first row.
  4. The coins after the stage scrolls 3 lines, each revealed row containing one coin.
  5. The coins that appear after the stage scrolls 6 lines.

When cleared, the rest of the first area in the world map gets cleared of viruses. Players also obtain the Bony Beetle assistant upon completing this stage.

The objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins. In this stage, Brick Blocks form a boundary that splits the stage into four quadrants, with the bottom quadrants containing barrels, all of them containing exploders. An exploder is located in between the bottom row of barrels. Four keys are found, with their respective doors in the topmost row of Brick Blocks. Flasks are hidden in the Brick Blocks in the leftmost and rightmost columns in the fifth and ninth rows, and an exploder is hidden in a Brick Block in the fourth row of the middle column. Viruses and floatie viruses are hidden in the other Brick Blocks. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either empty Brick Blocks or Brick Blocks with hidden viruses.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate at least 25 blue viruses, eliminate at least 30 green viruses and destroy at least 25 colorful crates. In this stage, viruses and colorful crates are found throughout, and unlike the other stages in this world, only two colors are available, being blue and green.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 13 lines are introduced.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and destroy all crates. In this stage, crates form a circle filled in a checkered pattern, with dust in between the crates. The dust in the middle covers a flask, while the others cover viruses. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either exploders or barriers.

The objective of this stage is to destroy all barriers and collect all purple coins. In this stage, every object in the second to fourth rows are half-frozen, including purple coins, bubble machines and viruses. In the first row, barriers are above the bubble machines and caged coins are between the barriers. Additional viruses and caged coins are located below the columns with viruses and coins. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either viruses, shells or exploders.

  3. The coins in the first row, between the barriers.

Dust viruses can be affected by bubble machines to remove the dust and become inside bubbles instead.

In this stage, the objects form a rotational symmetry, except for the lock blocks and the cages. Exploders are each located next to two purple coins and diagonally adjacent to a Brick Block and two viruses. All Brick Blocks contain coins.

  1. The coins within the seventh to the eighth row and fifth to seventh columns.
  2. The coins within the third to fifth row and seventh to eighth columns.
  3. The coins within the second to the third row and third to fifth columns.

  1. The coins along the line from the ninth row of the seventh column to the seventh row of the rightmost column.
  2. The coins along the line from the ninth row of the fourth column to the fourth row of the rightmost column.
  3. The coins along the line from the ninth row of the leftmost column to the first row of the rightmost column.
  4. The coins along the line from the sixth row of the leftmost column to the first row of the sixth column.
  5. The coins along the line from the third row of the leftmost column to the first row of the third column.

The final stage is a scrolling stage that requires all viruses to be eliminated and keys to be collected. In this stage, the middle column contains viruses, keys and lock blocks inside bubbles. On the left and right sides in the beginning, crates, a few Empty Blocks and a few half-frozen bubble machines form a path containing viruses. After the stage scrolled up far enough, there exploders and doors in cages, along with several viruses above Empty Blocks.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Once it is cleared, the remaining area of the stage map gets cleared of viruses, and players can access World 14. Upon completion, players earn a free Staff Ticket.

Within a 70 second time limit, players need to eliminate all viruses and destroy all colorful crates. In this stage, colorful crates arranged in a checkered pattern, and are found in barrels except for the bottom-most row of colorful crates. Viruses are found between the gaps of colorful crates.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within a 70 second time limit, players need to eliminate all viruses, collect all purple coins and collect all keys. In this stage, the leftmost and rightmost keys and doors have columns of viruses between them, while the middle key and door have crates between them. In the other columns, purple coins in rows of three and colorful crates in rows of three are placed in alternate rows.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coins in the eighth row.
  2. The coins in the seventh row.
  3. The coins in the sixth row.
  4. The coins in the fifth row.
  5. The coins in the fourth row.
  6. The coins in the third row.
  7. The coins in the second row.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within a 90 second time limit, players need to eliminate all viruses and collect all coins from Coin Blocks. In this stage, the ring of barrels contain viruses, and the ring of dust contain barriers. Barriers in dust will not switch on or off. All Brick Blocks contain coins.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and a Staff Ticket.

Special Stage

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all keys. In this stage, keys are blocked by different things before the doors. In the lower rows, the doors are half-frozen. The following rows have hidden doors in Brick Blocks. Colorful crates are between the keys and doors in the next rows. The following rows have barriers between the keys and doors. Near the top of the stage, doors are locked behind cages with its corresponding lock block at the corner.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and Dr. Fire Luigi.
