Template:Character-infobox Wild Sting is a flying stingray that appears in Donkey Kong Land. He is the game's very first boss, found at the end of Gangplank Galleon Ahoy! in the level Wild Sting Fling. Wild Sting resembles the Flotsams from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and could be the inspiration for them. His name is likely inspired by the phrase Wild Thing.

Wild Sting attacks by flying back-and-forth across the screen, occasionally swooping down at the Kongs. This leaves him open to attack via jumping. After enough hits, Wild Sting becomes faster and more aggressive, and starts waiting until he has gone off-screen to turn around. After seven hits, he is defeated for good, and three Banana Bunches fall from the top of the screen, and continue to the bottom if not caught first.
