Reminders

Hello, Zachruff. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Zachruff. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

By the way, it's Category:Super Mario Maker 2 Images, not "Screenshots". Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 12:36, May 16, 2019 (EDT)

Image references

If you're adding a direct image URL for a reference, please keep in mind that you should enclose the URL in square brackets, otherwise the image shows up in the references list at the bottom of the page. Thanks. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:29, May 22, 2019 (EDT)

They only need one bracket before and after the URL since they're external links, not two, which is for internal links. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:37, May 23, 2019 (EDT)

Consecutive edits

Hey, when you edit a page, make sure to make one large edits instead of multiple small edits, so it won't flood the Recent Changes, and be sure to press "Show preview" for a preview of your edit. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 14:06, May 22, 2019 (EDT)

Edits

Please refrain from using the word "you" on articles and writing in second-person (unless you're quoting an in-game description); instead, use "the player" or the character's name. Remember that game titles must be italicised too, which is done by enclosing the title with two apostrophes, so Mario Kart DS for example must be written as Mario Kart DS (Mario Kart DS). You can find more information on MarioWiki:Manual of Style, and Help:Editing is there if you need any help on wiki syntax. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:26, May 22, 2019 (EDT)

Your recent article ignored the writing guidelines I explained in my previous post. Please keep the above in mind, and be sure to review the Manual of Style. Thanks. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:27, July 14, 2019 (EDT)
