SVGs

Aboutfile reminder

Hello, Yoshi Noir. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Super Mario vector logo

There is a thing I would like to ask you about the vectorized Super Mario logo you did and upload: years ago I tagged the same image on Wikipedia for a vector version to be added. Yours is the first one to surface, and as a vector drawer myself I got to admit you won me on the trace of this logo (I already made the older version, though). Now, what I would like to ask you is if you could upload the new vector on Wikipedia, if you can't, I'd be pleased to do it myself, but first, I'd require your authorization as the creator of the image.

Super Mario Maker Press Images

For the Gallery:Super Mario Maker#1.30 update press, you uploaded some images in PNG and others in JPEG from the BMPs. Why? All of the BMPs should have been converted to PNG. SVGs

Most of your SVG uploads have been very good. I have a question about two files though.

• File:Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader-Writer.svg
• File:Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader-Writer - Amiibo.svg

I scaled these images higher than 1800px width and the images don't get better but rather pixelate and artifact. These images seem better as a PNG instead (1800px width). Why are these in the SVG format? There seems to be no benefit to it being in SVG. The PNG conversion is much lower in file size at 1800px width. Yes, it was to preserve the layers. You can delete them.

Your Signature

Two things about your signature. One, Help:Signature as you are inserting raw code and that is discouraged here. Two, don't use left or right with your {{personal-image-sig}}. This causes unusual breaks with anything below the image (such as replies or headings below a conversation you finished). [[File:Yoshi noir.svg|75px|link=User talk:Yoshi Noir]] is sufficient ( 11:16, 9 July 2015 (EDT)). These are official artwork that Nintendo uses for promotional material. These came from Play Nintendo.

Wait. I took them from Play Nintendo, but they are not only used for that. They are used for many other things. When they need artwork not related to a game, they use that. For example: http://www.nintendo.com/birthday-wallpaper . I saw them in various Nintendo promotional materials.

But the category the 22 images were given (Category:Play Nintendo Images) are still fine and their linkage is still valid for Play Nintendo. If you have to limit it to something, then maybe just the artwork or screenshots? But you could send the 3GB quite quickly if you archive it into an .7z (using Ultra compression if you want) and use JustBeamIt or similar to send the file (removes the need for storing on a server - its peer to peer).
