Beanie

Have you any idea if the bean enemies from Yoshi's New Island are actually called Beanies or not? Sometimes, the boss's name isn't directly refering to the species, such as Snifberg, despite the enemy is called Ice Snifit. This would make Beanie an unsourced name. Have you any source aside from the Big Beanie boss's name?

Sorry, but I don’t have the game or any guides that could possibly tell me a source. Someone who might have guides could help you, or you could ask Mario jc (talk), since he created the article. While a boss having a name that isn’t related to the species doesn’t automatically mean it isn’t possible for other enemies, it is probably still a good idea to try to find a source. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 12:01, 29 September 2018 (EDT)

You can mark images for deletion by adding {{delete}} to the file. However, is this the similar artwork you are referring to? Gangplank Galleon Lyrics

Since Mario jc (talk) is a bureaucrat, you should follow his instructions and try to find a source that shows that those are the actual words. I believed I could here some words in there when I listened to it yesterday, which is why I didn’t remove the lyrics when you added them, though it is very difficult to make out specific words, and it very possibly could just be gibberish. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 10:28, 9 October 2018 (EDT)

I honestly don't know why this 'it could be gibberish' mentality even exists when you can just hear the song to confirm the lyrics. I will admit that finding an official source of the lyrics is difficult, but that does not mean Nintendo won't release those lyrics in the future, especially once the game releases. Once that source gets posted, the lyrics should be posted. We can wait until then, but we shouldn't dismiss the lyrics once confirmed. Pikazilla (talk) 16:57, 9 October 2018 (EDT)

Vandalism

An ip adresse username called ‎83.21.105.84 has been vandalizing the WarioWare (series) page with false information, by adding the game wario ware silver and bronze, a game that does not exist, on said page. The info under the wario ware silver and bronze section is just a copy-and paste of the game and wario section, and the reference the the user as given is a link to a website announcing the game game and wario in 2013, not an e3 2019 announcement for wario ware silver and bronze like the user is claiming it to be. Should I remove or wait?~~Doomhiker Edit: never mind, the vandal has been stopped.

Yeah, for Super Mario Encyclopedia i voted oppose because it's taking many conjectural names from the wiki. For the Giant Raven, my oppinion is that the Giant Raven is treated separately from Raphael and that even if Raphael and other bosses's Japanese names are just generic, they're all considered as characters in Tetris Attack (some of the developpers are from the original, some are from Nintendo, and some are from Nintendo of America) -- FanOfYoshi 12:15, 25 October 2018 (EDT)

Question about Sliding Catch

Hello, I was planning to move the page Sliding Catch to Super Dive if it was agreed that the page should be moved, as Super Dive is the move's most recent name and as it has appeared in two equally-popular games according to MarioWiki:Naming If a subject's name has changed over time, the more commonly used modern name should be used as the title, rather than the historic name. For example, Princess Peach's original English name was "Princess Toadstool", however, she is usually called "Princess Peach" in recent games, so the article's title is "Princess Peach". meaning that Sliding Catch would qualify for a move to Super Dive if it was agreed upon that it should be moved. However Super Dive is already a redirect to Sliding Catch, which usually would not be a problem as you can move pages to a redirect if the page does not have a previous editing history, however, the Super Dive redirect has an edit history involving the redirect creation and a redirect move, thus meaning that Sliding Catch cannot be moved to Super Dive normally. Is there a way that Sliding Catch could still be moved to Super Dive normally, or would it require a different method? Thanks! Doomhiker (talk) 19:28, 3 January 2019 (EST)

Remove Protection Request

I just saw that L151 semi-protected the Super Mario Sunshine page for an indefinite period of time, but it's been a year since sockpuppets of Bobbywall03 have been edit warring on that page, and no one seems to be vandalizing it. Glitch: Weird letter physics

I’m very sorry, but according to Special:ListGroupRights, only the proprietor has the ability to use replace text. It's the annoying file guy again

Hey, as I was poking around the Shell Cup stuff, I found the following pages owned by Captain Yoshi 000000 (now known as simply User:Captain Yoshi: User:Captain Yoshi 000000/Mario Kart 9, User:Captain Yoshi 000000/Mario Kart 9/Circuits (and the subsequent redirect User:Captain Yoshi/Mario Kart 9/Circuits), and User:Captain Yoshi 000000/Mario Kart 9/Characters (with redirect User:Captain Yoshi/Mario Kart 9/Characters. I'm no expert, but I don't think these pages are really allowed, and this user has not been active since very early 2017. Should we get rid of them? No? Curious to see what you think. Thanks! Wizard King of the West's snail

Hey. I felt that in that one episode from TAOSMB3 where Toad causes trouble by playing with a magic wand, the Wizard King of the West had a snail. I once heard the wizard say "Faster, Lightning! Pull faster!", and I'm completely confused if Lightning was the snail's actual name.

Heheh... I think I'm in a bit of a pickle here... I would like some help resolving this. '^_^

Actually, I think I got it resolved. After looking up the episode article a little bit, I learned that the snail was actually called, "Faster Lightning". Still I'm confused if he was called that or if it was just "Lightning". Sorry for troubling you enough.
