Explanation

Yes, I read toonpartrol's message. But the reason I wanted him banned was because... well, it's sort of instinct. If you see somebody move two articles to unofficial names, you don't just watch. I gave him a reminder after the first move, thinking it was a mistake. Again, calling out vandal while undoing a move is instinct. After the second move, I thought he was a vandal. After I reported him to Cobold, I had to go eat dinner. After I finished, I come back to my computer and I see a message from the "vandal" and a warning from you. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Yes, I know what you're talking about. It's unavoidable to feel the need to try and help out by warning people. But do keep in mind that you must assume good faith on this wiki, no matter what. You should revert the edit and ask the user what he or she is doing, and not call the user out as a troll on Recent Changes or in an edit summary– if the user is a troll, you're only doing what they want: giving them attention, or "feeding the troll." If the user isn't a troll, then you are mislabeling them as a such. Either way, I would suggest just contacting a Sysop or Patroller on their talk page if you find some questionable edits being made; and continually remind/warn the user if they continue to make these questionable edits in a tasteful manner. You can be a good user, Reversinator, I sense it. But just remember to assume good faith when editing. · SMB (Talk) · 21:11, 17 April 2010 (EDT)

Solution

Create a category titled "Articles with "Beta elements" section. It's less fancy, but it gets to the point, and it allows the content to be in a nice little package as opposed to strewn all over the place. - NARCE 06:14, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

I have another question. The description for the sketch seems to be pretty vague to me. How many characters? Can I make them wear a costume? Sorry, I'm just pretty curious (after all, I already sketched several images Mario-related already, but some of them are in groups while others wear another outfit). It says "fanon is not allowed" but is drawing, say, Wario in a Propeller Suit allowed? I just want to know this before I upload my picture.

Question about Referances

Hi there! I wasn't sure if these were considered referances or not so I thought I'd ask you. Sorry if I'm a bother :( In many anime/anime music videos I've seen characters who've gotten something that they've been trying to get for a while. When they do they hold it up to the sky in the same manner as Mario SMS and shout "____(whatever they've got) Get!" Is that considered a referance or a meme? Thanks for your time. • Well that sure felt dumb for me. The problem is, you don't want to be uploading images, unless you're going to use them in an article immediately. And of course, the templates relating to The 'Shroom clearly state that if a fan-made image for The 'Shroom doesn't link to an article for The 'Shroom, it's qualified to deletion. Another Question (by a different user)

I have noticed that we are very inconsistent when linking to other NIWA wikis. Take, for instance, Link. We have an article that is, in my opinion, very thorough on covering Link's appearances in Mario games/crossovers, and doesn't overstep how detailed it should be. However, in some sections, we link to two of the games mentioned in the sticker section, but not the other two. And if someone who doesn't know much about the NIWA network comes looking at Link's article (let's say he owns Brawl and wants to find out more about him) and gets a lot of information, but is still a little confused. He could use a link to Zelda wiki in some other section of the page, but I'll assume he doesn't understand enough to know that the articles linked to would eventually take him to Link's page. What I am wondering is, if it would be a good idea to improve inter-wiki linking on SSB articles and such. I'll admit, most of this came after I happened to see our article on Link (I own two Zelda games) and noticed that nowhere did we link to the Zelda wiki article on Link. This confused me, because the Zelda wiki article on Link is very good and anyone looking for more information on Link than what is in SSB would have a harder time finding it.
