ItalicsEdit

Hello! When naming game titles, please remember to italicise them. You do that simply by adding two apostrophes before and after the name, so for Super Mario 3D World, you type ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''   Mario JC 05:17, 16 March 2018 (EDT)

GrammarEdit

Hi again. Just letting you know as I've noticed you've been omitting them often, but in English we often use definite and indefinite articles "the" and "a" before different things. "The" is used when referring to specific things or something already known to the reader (e.g. "Similar to the Rainbow Star from the Super Mario Galaxy games"), while "a" is used when talking about a thing in general (e.g. "Rosalina was given a slightly higher-pitched voice"). You can probably find some material on this like this online.

Thanks for contributing.   Mario JC 22:52, August 18, 2019 (EDT)

Additionally, when using a verb for an action being done by more than one person, you drop the "s" (e.g. "Cheep Cheeps swim" instead of "swims").   Mario JC 21:25, August 29, 2019 (EDT)

Obscure contentEdit

Hi. I'm a more recent member. I find obscure content and put it on this wiki. But I don't speak Japanese, so it's pretty difficult to read stuff made there. I was hoping you'd help me with stuff. If you want to, please reply to me on my talk page. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:50, August 26, 2019 (EDT)

Switch buttonsEdit

I think that probably, for controls, we should say things like, "Single Joy-Con play:   /   to jump" or something like that. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 11:04, September 28, 2019 (EDT)

ReminderEdit

Please stop copying information from SmashWiki on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Do not plagiarise information straight from other websites. Your information for the Ultimate newcomers on Taunt was taken straight from SmashWiki, which you did for a large amount of info on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate multiple times as well. Please use your own words.   Mario JC 00:29, October 4, 2019 (EDT)

UploadsEdit

Be sure to add any files you've uploaded to pages as soon as you've uploaded them, otherwise they go unused or may end up deleted.   Mario JC 07:11, February 29, 2020 (EST)

Audio files are to be uploaded as "oga" rather than "ogg", to make the distinction between audio and video ("ogv").    22:03, August 4, 2020 (EDT)
