NOTICE: If you came here to talk to me why your userpage was changed in any way by my edits -- there's a reason! A few months ago, the wiki had announced that every user would have to clean up their userpages, mainly due to the fact most users don't read the rules, and we are recently experiencing server lags. (Recently Steve removed the message some time ago, but the rules still apply!) As a result, your userpage may be edited without warning. If you read a summary of my edit, it will tell you the following things I did to your userpage.

Cleanup – Self-explanatory. I have a tick when it comes to coming across to seeing badly edited userpages. So I have a tendency to tweak and fix certain things that users should learn from their mistakes.
Removing infoboxes & templates – Those templates are supposed to be used in actual articles, not userspace. The only exceptions are the userboxes, and the Shroom box. If you really want to make your own table, you have to make it yourself or talk to someone for assistance.
Removing fanwork (includes fan stories, game ideas, etc) - Users are allowed to write a brief info about themselves. If your here just to host your work in an excessive way (as in breaking the PI limit, 4 images, 1 sig-img -- images example, or in a form of electronic writing), use another service that does that other than hosting in the wiki.
Unnecessary userspace/removing spam - Users can go far as making sub-pages of their userspace -- containing anything that doesn't benefit the wiki. Except for test pages, sigs, talk page, and it's archives of talk pages.

If you still have questions concerning my recent activity of cleaning up userspace, respond to me in this talk page maturely. Otherwise, I will remove your comments w/o answering due to flaming.

Mario Paint Artwork

Hello RAP. You uploaded artwork of Mario that supposedly comes from Mario Paint. However, I'm not exactly sure about that, as I have the feeling that Mario looks more modern (less chubby, only compare Mario's legs to his shorter legs here) and the colouring and shading is also somewhat different from the other Mario Paint art. In case of replacing images, I could try to replace some of the 2D sprites saved as JPG files. On the Mario artwork: I think it is neither from Gamekult nor Gamehiker (when I visited the latter site the last time there was only art that probably came from Nintendo Power, at least not from the manual). But do you agree that it looks different from the other Mario Paint art? If yes, where to place it? I'd suggest to create a "Miscellaneous" section in Mario's gallery, as it doesn't look like that "Event Promotions" will get much bigger. I have found another artwork of Mario here that doesn't seem to belong to a particular game. And then there is all the stock art used in the 1980s and 1990s. So, what about renaming "Event Promotions" to "Miscellaneous" and adding the artwork there? --Grandy02 08:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

My favourite site about Nintendo in general is NinDB. On the Mario artwork, what about the "Miscellaneous" section in the gallery I suggested? Image Deleting

There were so many images that were requested for deletion earlier that I was oblivious to some of the statements involving images used in signatures. Sometimes I think the {{delete}} template is being used for the wrong reasons. M&SG (talk) 21:28, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay, here are the names of the files that had duplicates. The files below aren't deleted, but their duplicates are.

Image Compressing

I've been noticing that you've been compressing a lot of PNG images on the Mario Wiki. May I ask what you've been using to pull this off, because I've never been able to figure out how to compress images. Of course, seeing as all the compressing is on the PNG images, I'm taking it that compressing JPEG images is not possible. M&SG (talk) 11:40, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I got your last message and tested out that PNG Monster program on a PNG image that I recently uploaded, namely the Bullet Bill sprite from SMW 2; File:BulletBill-SMW2.png. Interesting how one program can compress PNG images even further than what The GIMP is capable of. M&SG (talk) 11:00, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, another PNG image editing tip is that when dealing with video game sprites, most usually use less than 256 colors, so indexing them will help reduce their memory usage, while maintaining their color quality as well. Of course, this does apply to before the PNG Monster program is used. M&SG (talk) 23:11, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
To index images with The GIMP, go to Image > Mode > Indexed.... Choose the maximum number of colors that the image will have (up to a maximum of 256 colors), and then select Convert. The image will become indexed as a result. On a side note, semi-transparency is removed when indexing images, but there will be at least 1 transparent color if the image has an Alpha Layer. Look around at some of those files you deleted, RAP! You may find that some of those files and pages had personalities put into them. And frankly, I HAVE been on a year ago, but I didn't create, do, or update anything until today. You people... scratch that, KIDS need to learn a thing about where modern day leads to online: freestyle posting. Bann me on this site for saying that if you must, you may be able to block my page, but you can never delete my page, It's online, so deal with it! Bah, I give up! Removal of Support/Oppose Votes

Removal of Support/Oppose Votes. That section is on every FA and unfeature nomination. To pass an unfeature nomination you need three votes and one admin vote. Many of the things have three and four votes already but lack one key element - the admin vote. Could you browse through the nominations and unfeature nominations and get to those? Mr. RAP, I've recently been dabbling around in Image Licencing and stuff under Maintenance! I've found that it IS rather addicting, but I can't tell why! Anyway, would it be alright if I occasionally worked on some of the Enemy articles listed for improving? This Is War 13:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
