Purge Cache

Uh, hey Steve. A while back, a troll vandalized a few templates with lewd ASCII art, which has persisted in the cache. I added a link to "Purge Cache" in the sidebar but Wayoshi suggested that I ask you to move it to the toolbox. So if you could do that, I'd appreciate it. Chat Problem

HI STEVE!!! Uh.., i have a problem, the shroom's channnel, #mw-shroom, cant be accessed in the MW chat, its already in MediaWiki:ircapplet. I would greatly apreciate any help. Thanks™ The 'Shroom i cant sign properly in my dsi...

I think it's because of the "-" in the name. THe Channel might need to be renamed Tucayo in order for us to be able to access it. I ran some tests by adding another channel, #test-test to the applet, and couldn't access it either. The "-" would be my best guess. Xzelion^ETC

Upgrading

Hey Steve. You may have noticed that we have a relatively outdated version of MediaWiki (we currently have 1.10.2, the newest one is 1.15). Any future plans for upgrading to the latest version? Yoshario (talk)

1. WHy dont we upgrade to the latest mediawiki version? the wiki is running very slow apparently beacuse of that.

Hey, welcome back. The wiki was moved to a new server, and during the move pages were blocked from being edited so that the wiki wouldn't change during the move. Unfortunately, a number of edits made on August 14 became corrupted, so if the most recent version of a page was edited on August 14, the page would not show up. Because of this I had to revert these pages back to a version that was not created on the 14th. Everything should be back to normal now, and the wiki is faster on the new server. --Steve (talk) 09:54, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

Big Problem

Until early July, Chat was great. The wildest it would get would be people quoting BJAODN or singing Weird Al. Now, people just swear randomly, flame, and ops don't even follow the rules. Last night, Jorge, Turboo, and Henrydamoose were saying all sorts of crap about me, and Clear Discoherency did it today. All of us should've been kicked at least twelve times, and the only time anyone was kicked was when I flooded in protest. An anonymous source told me Porple kicked a user for "being a noob". I'm not alone in my opinion, and many users have left the wiki altogether because of it. I'm gonna try to wait it out, though. Enough is enough. Something needs to be done.

Remember on chat? A while ago? I asked you about what you expected with the Wiki and stuff? Basically, I asked you some questions for a school project, yes? WELL, as everybody else was lying about them getting Jimmy Wales' post code, and they send him letters (which the replies are apparently burnt XD) and some kid who said he "friended" the creator of YouTube (Who he had no proof to provide, so he got the fail...).
However, due to the fact I actually had the brains to use the printscreen for proof that I DID get the information from you, the fact that I managed to communiate with somebody who created one of the most successful communities on the internet, a site which even some of my teacher's children use for Mario info, I, Cameron (yes, my real name) have conquered my peers and I am now known as a "Legend" (British slang for 'somebody of good quality), and I have progressed in the sets for community building, social and ICT lessons, gained popularity among the staff as a responsible person, and it's all thanks to you, Sir, Porple, Steve, and from that moment that lasted less than 2 minutes, you have helped created a more positive future for me. In internet speak: "OMG! U HAZ CHANGED MY LIFE!".
Steve, you are an amazing bloke, and you may not realise the effects you have done, but even though I only move up to high school next year and your almost in college, I think you should study hard, get into that university, do what you find best and if you become unsatisfied at any point, just remember that "s--t happens".

Underground Gunner

Do you think there is a difference between the underground gunners that shoot water and those that shoot electricity? I think there is and that they should not be the same article but I want input before I propose it, here are some points about their differences (Waters = Water Shooters | Zaper = The electricity shooting one):

• Waters appear multiple times/Zaper appears once
• Waters shoot water/Zaper shoots electricity
• Waters are considerably easy to beat/Zapper is extremely hard and in an arena
• There is regular music while facing waters/There is Baron Brr music when facing Zaper
• No stars come from waters/Zaper releases a star

So, do you think this proposal would be a good idea?

Geez

I know this sound stupid, but Yoshario deleted my userbox shop, and I want it back. It's not on a sub-page, so I don't see what's wrong with it. I'm kinda ticked off with this, because he deleted it under the fact that it was "non-encyclopedic material" but almost everything on userpages is non-encyclopedic! The only reason I have it is to share userboxes that probably would not be accepted on the actual userbox list, not because they're bad, but because they're kinda low quality. First, The discriminatory boxes said "This user dislikes bisexual creeps", which can be offensive to bisexuals. Second, userbox shops don't serve the encyclopedia, and we gave more than enough warning with an announcement on the Main Page that stayed there for a week.
