ItalicsEdit

Hi. When writing game titles (the latter was an anonymous edit by you), please remember to format them in italics. You do this by enclosing the title in two apostrophes, so instead of simply writing: Mario Kart: Double Dash, you type ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]'', which generates: Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Thanks.   Mario JC 21:30, 7 March 2017 (EST)

Please recall what I said here. Just wanted to remind you because your last warning for forgetting this was over a year ago so I don't feel this is deserving of another one now, but you might receive one if it keeps up.   Mario JC 23:41, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
Final reminder to remember this, otherwise you may receive a last warning.   Mario JC 23:28, 29 December 2018 (EST)
Hello, Polterpup! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.

Pokémon ImagesEdit

We have no use for Pokémon images, except for the Super Smash Bros. (series), so I tagged File:MimikyuPicture.png and File:778Mimikyu Dream.png with {{personal-image}}. Please read our policy before uploading any further. There are established limits. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:04, 8 March 2017 (EST)

Because your images are going unused, they have had their tags changed from {{personal-image}} to {{personal-image-abandoned}} and will likely be deleted within a short time. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:15, 10 March 2017 (EST)
It's now deleted. If you want it back, just ask a sysop to restore it. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:56, 10 March 2017 (EST)

New Game AppearanceEdit

FYI, we don't update the most recent appearance of a character until after the game is released. Once April 28th rolls around, then the information can be updated.    11:46, 10 March 2017 (EST)

ReminderEdit

Please stop forgetting to use italics and changing latest game appearances before release on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You were reminded of the latter the first time here.   Mario JC 19:22, 10 March 2017 (EST)

Page creationEdit

To add to what Yoshi the SSM said here, when starting a new article, please remember to follow the step-by-step instructions on how to do so in the Manual of Style, including bolding the title, italicising game titles and categorising, and it is recommended you have a sufficient amount of information right off the bat. Thanks.   Mario JC 21:06, 15 March 2017 (EDT)

WarningEdit

This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (forgetting italics) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

This was even after a brief mention on italics when I informed you about page creation above.   Mario JC 22:10, 28 March 2017 (EDT)

Sorry, I just forget. Polterpup (talk) 13:50, 19 April 2017 (EDT)

New accountEdit

Hello. Because you forgot the password to your "Mario 3 Fan" account, your talk page history has been moved to this new account. Please ensure that you remember your password this time, because we might not allow you to create another account after this one.

Additionally, please be reminded that you can't submit another request for a username change until 15 March, 2018.

Pinwheel GalaxyEdit

I'm too tired to write up a list of Everything Wrong With Super Mario Galaxy From A Scientific View. It'll probably be a contender for Long Articles on MarioWiki if I did so.   Ray Trace(T|C) 23:18, 13 April 2017 (EDT)

Image categoriesEdit

Hello, Polterpup. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello! When uploading images, please remember to add an image category relating to the game, such as [[Category:Mario & Luig: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions Images]]. Also, it isn't necessary to keep the pre-loaded coding from the aboutfile. -- TheFlameChomp (talk) 15:11, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

CanonEdit

Regarding your recent edit to Kamek's page, It's quite possible that the Kameks did die. There is no canon or continuity in the Mario franchise, so it's possible for someone to die in one game, then appear in another. However, it's still redundant to say "die and then explode", so it was a good edit. Just thought I'd make sure you knew for future reference. Thanks.

Series orderEdit

Hi, regarding you recent edit to Boo, just letting you know that series headers in history sections are always listed chronologically, not by importance. Giving importance priority makes no sense considering that it's up to the users to make such judgements, which make them all the more problematic. (I may agree that Boos are more important in the Luigi's Mansion series, but someone else may argue that they're more important in the Mario Kart series.) Thanks!   (T|C) 18:55, 3 October 2018 (EDT)

Moving pagesEdit

For future reference, after moving an article, the page should be edited accordingly to fit the new name as Sdman213 has done here. Also, be sure to keep in mind the information at the top of the move page. You can check for links to the old name ("Super Peach's Castle") by going to Special:WhatLinksHere (it's found under "tools" on the left navigation pane) and typing in the old name (for double redirects, click "Hide links" - these should be taken care of as soon as the page is moved).

If I may ask though, is the name "Super Peach's Castle of Fury" actually used in the Gauntlet for giant battles, or just what Fawful called it? Because I believe he called it that in the original.   Mario JC 00:20, 17 January 2019 (EST)

It's used in the Gauntlet for Giant Battles. I have the game, played it on launch day. Fawful (talk) 11:31, 17 January 2019 (EST)

Bobby / Bob-ombEdit

The character is only referred to as "Bobby" by Olivia, whereas everywhere else such as the pause menu and his collectible trophy calls him "Bob-omb", so that's why we're using that name for him here. Keyblade Master (talk) 20:56, July 21, 2020 (EDT)

Furthermore, you should look at the page history to see the reasons why a page was moved in the first place. Mario jc, a bureaucrat, is the one who made the move, for the same reasons why "Bobby" was just changed back to "Bob-omb".    01:15, July 22, 2020 (EDT)

Removing contentEdit

We know this was your anonymous edit, following similar edits you made on the same page and the Booster Pass page while logged in. Please stop removing valid information without providing a reason or a warning will be issued. Listen to the two songs again; you can hear that the tracks have similar melodies.   Mario JC 23:11, July 10, 2022 (EDT)

RE: Courses with Half-pipesEdit

It would help to include the games in which the half-pipes appear so I included a table. The line about them not appearing in Double Dash and 7 is unnecessary since the article already doesn't mention those games, and Merry Mountain being entirely anti-gravity isn't really important here.   Mario JC 05:54, February 7, 2023 (EST)

Thanks, your edit was a far better idea than mine. Polterpup (talk) 11:09, February 7, 2023 (EST)

RE: Booster Course Pass Wave 4 ScreenshotsEdit

I haven't been able to find any on official Nintendo websites, but if anyone finds any of the watermark-less screenshots, they can just upload over the old images using the "Upload a new version of this file" link on the file page.   Mario JC 06:13, March 5, 2023 (EST)
