Image categoriesEdit

Hello, Pokemon. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hey, after removing {{uncategorized}} when uploading an image, please remember to categorise it with any appropriate categories found through the above links.   Mario JC 07:17, 25 October 2018 (EDT)

DeathEdit

Re:Olly & OliviaEdit

The category is mainly supposed to be used for characters who are already dead, while Olivia and Olly are only deceased at the end. That's why the category is not being used for them.   Nightwicked Bowser

@User:Keyblade Master If you think so... but then the category only covers 12 pages and this regulation affects (to my knowledge) only Olly and Olivia... Pokemon (talk) 11:55, July 29, 2020 (EDT)
The category is not for characters who die during the course of the story. Only for those that are shown to return as a ghost or such. Otherwise, we'd have a lot of bosses to add.    12:00, July 29, 2020 (EDT)
For this there is the note "Please note that this does not include characters or bosses that are simply "defeated" and not seen again. This category is also not for undead characters, such as ghosts; for those, see Category:Undead.".
I just wanted to point out that it is obvious to them (unlike most bosses) and that the category is only for already dead or doing the story dying characters who do not reappear as ghosts or the like Pokemon (talk) 12:17, July 29, 2020 (EDT)
Yes, exactly. The deceased characters category is for already dead characters. Dying and then not returning would not qualify the character for the category, as the category would then fall under technicalities regarding bosses and such. Undead would be for characters that do return after death. Bobby does not fall under either of these. I realize it's a confusing line we've drawn.    12:30, July 29, 2020 (EDT)

UndeadEdit

Well Bobby shows up (as a ghost) when you take a new photo in Shogun Studios and you also fight against Cackletta's soul, so both appear as ghost after death Pokemon (talk) 12:35, July 29, 2020 (EDT)

Is that so? That should probably be discussed on Bob-omb's talk page, as I don't know if that's important enough for the category.
Cackletta's not dead when you fight her soul. You fight her soul and then she dies.    12:38, July 29, 2020 (EDT)

SandboxEdit

Hello, unless this is testing edits or you intend to draft an article, you don't seem to be using your sandbox for its intended purpose. Per MarioWiki:Userspace, please keep this sort of content on your userpage.   Mario JC 07:40, August 19, 2021 (EDT)
