Featured articles I'm not sure what you mean exactly with your latest "ditto" vote, but I would strongly advise against supporting featured article nominations just because you like the subject in the future, since what matters is the article's quality. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Company images Film images Game images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Website images Company media files Film media files Game media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files Website media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. A few more things: You shouldn't upload full spritesheets to the wiki; it's recommended you crop the ones you need and upload them separately (the ones that would be worth having are the damage and shell sprites). If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. Not only did you continue to upload full spritesheets, you still didn't categorise any one of your uploads. You need to replace {{uncategorized}} with [[Category:Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 images]]. There were also a number of problems with the images, and I'm not sure what you did to save your images or what program you used to crop, but: You uploaded in jpg but the original sprites were png. They should be saved in the original format, otherwise it adds jpg artifacts to the sprites. The sheets were way smaller than the original. To get the original size, you had to click on the "Download this sheet" link or right-click the image and select "Save image as..." The cropped sprites left some background colour behind. Again, I don't know what program you used, but you can use Photoshop or even a simpler program like Paint.net and use the magic wand tool to easily remove the background without any problems. Responding to your post, there's no need to upload every single frame of a character's animation. One or a few of the key ones (idle sprite, damaged sprite etc.) is enough to show what the character looks like. Please consider the following ideas and suggestions when expanding/creating an article: Before saving a new page, be sure that you have put as much effort and information in the article as you can. Make sure that the page follows all of the rules that are outlined in the Manual of Style. Perhaps upload a few images that can be used on the article. Only one link is enough (see MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Linking, linking, linking!). Also, there have been some instances where you didn't do this but so it's clear, game titles need to be italicised (e.g. Super Mario 3D World should be formatted as Super Mario 3D World - see MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Italicizing titles). Bubbasour11 Nominations You're far too overzealous in terms of featured article nominations. In the past month or so, you have nominated two articles to be featured, all of which are failing. Read the featured article requirements, read the article multiple times, ask other users for their opinion, etc. A page being large does not mean it is good nor does it mean it should be featured. Also, proposal templates do not fit onto a featured article page, and you can't really cancel one. Preferably, make sure the article is in a perfect state before featuring, and don't do so based on impulse. If it isn’t or is those sprites tell me, (send me a link of the spritesheet if it isn’t the two I listed). Such things resolve themselves. However, the only way to overturn a proposal is to make a new proposal, which is a hassle for everyone involved.
