Other tasks

This MarioWiki Bot, it could do other tasks, like deleting in-sufficient length New Stubs past the due date, and maybe automatically count scores for proposals and archive them. It may never happen, but it could be a suggestion?

Ignoring the amount of time it would take to implement either, users are much more efficient than a bot in completing most wiki functions, especially if and when mistakes are made. Also, users welcoming new users isn't applicable because of the magnitude of new users who join on a daily basis. Mario4Ever (talk)

Upgrade this bot

Hey admins, I am wondering. Should you guys upgrade the bot to filter bad edits? Because they have it on wikipedia to prevent unconstructive edits. But Maybe We should just keep using the warning/reminder/ban system. So the answer is, yes or no? And if its a yes, when will the upgrade be applied?

Bots can't discriminate between bad and good. We can add a filter in as to what we think a bad edit is, like any edit removing over 50,000 bytes, but that's not necessary and could mess up at times. Marioguy1 (Talk | Contribs)

Thanks for letting me know. Wikipedia seems to either have advanced bots, or their filter isn't very reliable. I see that it is better keep using the ban system. Btw wikipedia has a vandalism filter even though they already have a ban system. ----Toolsotrade

Interwiki links

I have a suggestion, why not make this bot add intewiki-links to our German and Italian partners? That would really be usefull since alot is missing and it is to tedious to do it manually. --Raltseye (talk) 11:14, 23 February 2016 (EST)

I don't really know how it works, but it's done on Bulbapedia to link to their six affiliates, so one should be able to do that here as well, don't you think? --Raltseye 08:08, 19 May 2016 (EDT)

Perhaps you can get the names from the Names in Other Languages boxes and use them to match the German/Italian pages. Or you can try to find the English names on their pages and use them to match ours. I don't know things like that except that it can be manually done by matching the categories over the three wikis first. BTW the Bulbapedia is amazing!!! Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Duplicate Files

Could you get the bot to delete some of these duplicate images? As for the ones that aren’t duplicates, they should be categorized with Category:Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Images. And the links to the duplicate files in the bestiary need to be fixed. I’m asking the bot because it’s far too much work for any person. -YFJ (talk · edits) 02:33, 18 February 2018 (EST)
