Removal of info

Hi, sorry to bother you, but your recent upload of Tennis Daisy 64 artwork is not an official Nintendo artwork, it's actually from Vinfreild, go to deviantart and you'll see this artwork in their page. As such this artwork is considered fan artwork, which is against rules in this wiki, no matter how close the artwork is to the original, thanks. Edit: Oops! Forgot my name:--CastleResearch (talk) 14:47, 6 February 2016 (EST)

219px-MTArt.PNG

I had no clue it would matter that much. I guess I will have to contact Nintendo for the actual originals. Darn. Dolphin.pngMarino13 21:30, 6 February 2016 (EST)

Aboutfile reminder

Hello, Marino13. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, please remember to format your preloaded aboutfile templates properly. When you upload a file, you will see that template. Fill out the appropriate sections, delete unused ones, and remember to categorize your images according to game (in Mario Party images, add Category:Mario Party Images to the end). You can delete the aboutfile altogether, but I recommend you learn how it works. It's not convenient for others to fix it for you whenever you upload images. Okay, thank you Baby Luigi, I'll remember next time. Dolphin.pngMarino13 13:13, 7 February 2016 (EST)
Just another reminder. I found you not filling out aboutfile with File:SM64 Mario Head.png and File:Mario64pointing.png. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:54, 28 March 2016 (EDT)

Compress PNGs

PNG Monster reduces file sizes of PNGs. Just giving you a useful tip. ;) --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 23:56, 14 February 2016 (EST)

Don't remove others users comments

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that you can't remove others users comments. You can read Super Mario Wiki's courtesy policy to better understand this. The only comments you are allowed to remove are flames and acts of vandalism.--LudwigVon Sig.png(TALK) 22:08, 21 April 2016 (EDT)

 • Flames? What are those? Dolphin.pngMarino13 22:23, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
Flaming is strong language including swearing, personal attacks, spamming etc. Fawful's Minion 22:29, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
Okay, thanks for the notice. Dolphin.pngMarino13 22:33, 21 April 2016 (EDT)

Missing Categories

Please stop forgetting to insert game image categories to new image uploads on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Make sure you add the game image category the image belongs to (such as Category:Donkey Kong Country Images or Category:Donkey Kong 64 Images). They are inserted using [[]]. If you are unsure of the category name, use the search bar to the left and type in Category: and then type in the game title. It's case-sensitive or else red link. Otherwise blue link. I mention this because L151 (talk) and I just got done editing several images missing such categories. You can see on Porplemontage (talk)'s user talk archive pages. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:55, 12 May 2016 (EDT)

Is it that important? Dolphin.pngMarino13 19:20, 12 May 2016 (EDT)
Not sure but it does help identify accidental duplicated files and helps us find images to satisfy articles/sections needing an image without needing to upload. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:41, 12 May 2016 (EDT)
Now I understand. I do hate seeing duplicates of the same image on here too. More than happy to help. Dolphin.pngMarino13 00:42, 13 May 2016 (EDT)

Hello, Marino13. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

You did it again for Super Mario Bros. (film) images you just uploaded. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:28, 2 December 2016 (EST)

I'm gonna pretend I didn't see this. I already read it the first time. Dolphin.pngMarino13 12:16, 3 December 2016 (EST)
Um, different template (aboutfile-reminder and imagecategory-reminder). Don't ignore because you could be in-line for a warning if you forget to categorize appropriately, worse than the first reminder. It's policy. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:29, 3 December 2016 (EST)

Sig

That's called a signature, the page I linked to has all the information you need to make one. All I do is just take the head icon HUD from Mario Kart 8 and shrink it to an appropriate size like, say, 10px () BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 03:00, 28 May 2016 (EDT)

Okay, thanks Baby Luigi. Appreciate it Dolphin.pngMarino13 03:39, 28 May 2016 (EDT)

Re:Your Images

Nice uploads. I like a lot of them. Like this one, Mario for president. Really, nice finds on the N64-related image uploads, where N64-style renders aren't readily available nowadays. Hopefully, you'll find that one picture from Mario Party 3 where Mario and Wario are chasing after a chicken and Wario is pushing Mario away... could've sworn that render existed, but it's such a long time. Heck, I don't even remember if it's actually a picture or some weird composite art, but oh well. P.S. I freaking love Mario. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 23:30, 29 June 2016 (EDT)

Somewhere in the Internet space they are floating. Nintendo may have made more N64 Mario images than the average user can find. Thanks for the comments. And great to know you love the Italian plumber. Dolphin.pngMarino13 01:59, 2 July 2016 (EDT)

Future of Toadsworth

I've noticed that Toadworth has not been in very many games since the start of the 2010s. Has Nintendo found very limited use for the character these days? I mean, games like Mario Party 10, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympic Games, even recent releases like Mario Party Star Rush, have no sign of the elderly Toad, almost as if he has "met his passing". The file, formerly titled File:MarioPropella.png is now File:NSMBW Propeller Mario.png. It is used on your main page. Have a good one. Sprite of a coin from the Atari 2600 port of Mario Bros. Wynn Liaw - 03:28, Jan 19, 2020
