Topman and Spiky Topman

Hi, I'm a member of the Italian wiki of Mario and I have a doubt. The Spiky Topman is considered a subspecies of Topman, the galaxy in which there is the Silver Gearmo there is a mission whose title contains the word Topman, but the robot will ask Mario to bring one Spiky Topman. In Italian, the mission is called "Caccia al Robomolle" However, even in this version, the enemy robots that ask you to find a name to it, that is Robopunte. I added a Hardware section which talks about the NES's hardware components and the specs of the console. I did include the pictures of the Picture Processing Unit and the Ricoh 2A03 with a picture of a regular 6502 on the bottom. Something troubling me about the latest vandals.

Okay, I recently had a duel with User:Fluttershy over blanking pages. I was up roughly to 11:00 fixing things and my user talk was blanked several times.

But this isn't the first time this has happened. Over recent days, Users like Fluttershy and Pinkiepie as well as Billions of anonymous users have been blanking things. This, I think, is a dramatic increase.

Yet something puzzle me. They replace content with stuff like images of my little pony, but even say things like "The mane 6" and mane 5 and dominating the wiki. Its... I feel vandals are getting smarter. Fluttershy waited a week to get autoconfirmed, and I feel many more are slowly approaching. The wiki might be attacked soon, and it might just be stupid spam, but I want the best for this wiki, and if there is something up, how can I help? I am a new user that wants to help the wiki, when I try to fill in the missing information on the Mario Vs. Please do not listen to this user. We are clearly not harrasing him or ganging up on him. We are simply deleting things he is adding to the article, and the reason they are being deleted is because he has meerly copied and pasted information from the other Mario vs Donkey Kong pages and put them in the series page. And it's not even selective, he has literally C'n'P'ed everything, even things only important to the one game and not the whole series. Both PowerKamek and myself have tried to explain why what he is doing is not ideal, and he refuses to listen.

Input On Merges

I see that you overwrote my other file for Bonefin Galaxy. I'm fine with that because, at the time, I had no idea that image existed when I was uploading my version. I did some recent digging around out of curiosity in the unused files section of this Wiki. That is why I initially wanted the other image deleted. I was debating whether or not to request a merge instead. What are we going to do about the files File:SMG Starshroom & Kingfin Planet.png and :File:Kingfin Planet.png? I wonder what allowed your image to go unused...

Abuse Filter Plug-in

On Bulbapedia, it seems like they use a system to detect malicious edits and block malicious editors automatically. Here is the page. I think this is the plug-in. This should help prevent vandals from making those edits (blanking pages, disallowed usernames, etc.). I don't think you have this installed (Special:AbuseFilter). If you already know about this, I'm just going to assume there might have been a compatibility or some other issue in the past. Just trying to help prevent wrongful use of this Wiki. Yes I own it. Theoretically, anyone that owns Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon can upload images thanks to the Miiverse update for Nintendo 3DSs. It also depends what images are needed. What images is MarioWiki needing specifically? I don't want to just upload seemingly random screenshots. I kind of want to multi-purpose uploads, if possible, kind of like what I did with Launch Star images for example. Instead of uploading to satisfy one small article, look for already existing images instead. In the Super Mario Galaxy case I mentioned, I prioritized uploading images to the main stuff (Galaxy) and then linked images for that type of article to satisfy a child item (Launch Star). Idea to Fix Files with Missing Game Image Category

Lately, I have been noticing images with missing categories belonging to their game (like Category:Super Mario Maker Images and Category:Super Mario Galaxy Images for category examples). I had an idea to easily spot them. What if the category code for any of the image copyright tags (such as {{game-screenshot}} and {{game-sprite}}) were removed temporarily? That way, it would force most images into Special:UncategorizedFiles that are missing the game image category it belongs to. No. Just a portion of code deleted for certain image copyright tags, such as {{game-screenshot}} and {{game-sprite}}, but only temporarily. Once the images have been gone through, you can reinstate the code. I suppose that works, but I don't recommend it. Just remove [[Category:Game screenshots]] and [[Category:Game sprites]] from those templates respectively. The ~24,000 images in Category:Game screenshots and ~17,000 images in Category:Game sprites should have 0 (or close to 0) as the end result. Be careful before committing that edit! I suggest running this by other admins, especially Porplemontage (talk). The categories have a lot of images so one template change that removes the code I suggested could cause a temporary lock on MarioWiki as a whole because the inner workings of MediaWiki need to process that many requests to refresh the cache of each category.
