Welcome to my talk page! I prefer to reply here, but because I understand not everybody does that, I will leave a response on your talk page as well.

Asterisks

Those "weird symbols" keep popping up on the Wiki in place of other symbols, like akisterisks. (Did I spell that right?!) We had a big outbreak earlier this month, and there are tons just waiting to be discovered. 3dhammer.gif 3D, “”! 3dhammer.gif

OK. Thanks for telling me. --KPH2293 16:28, 16 December 2006 (EST)

An announcement about it used to be at the top of the Wiki, but the 'Shroom advertisement replaced it. 3dhammer.gif 3D, Visit my talk page! 3dhammer.gif

Did you come from Wookiepedia?Knife (talk)

Yes, I did. Why do you ask? --KPH2293 00:33, 29 December 2006 (EST)

Officially, text is only supposed to be linked once, either in the article (preferrably) or in the image. I sometimes link text in images that appears in the article out of habit. It's actually not that big of a deal. Feel free to change articles that violate this rule, but you probably don't need to get on other's cases if they fail to follow this policy. Oh yeah, I was also a member of Wookiepedia. I stopped editing over there when I realized this wiki needed a lot more help. -- Son of Suns

It really doesn't matter to me. I do both. You really don't need to have bold image titles, but if you feel they are better, please make the changes. However, some images are so small that bolded text won't fit in the frame. Keep that in mind. I just asked Wayoshi and he supports bolded text, as they help empasize the article in question. Go from there. =) -- Son of Suns

Re: Two Questions

Very thoughtful questions.

  1. I tend to use "Yoshis". I am not sure if whether that or "Yoshies" is the correct spelling, but someone else might know.
  2. Unfortunately, no. We did have an extension installed, but it only counts edits in the article namespace (no talk, user, category, template, or MarioWiki pages, among others, counted). In that area, you have quickly made it high on the list with 859 edits on 466 pages. ^_^ Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 16:01, 9 January 2007 (EST)

The canonically correct plural form of Yoshi is "Yoshis". This was proven by Knife in the Yoshi talk page, under the Super Mario Sunshine section. The Great Sunflower specifically says "Yoshis" in the game itself. -- Son of Suns

Should Template:Yoshies be changed, then? --KPH2293 16:13, 9 January 2007 (EST)
The name of the template can stay. That's not a big deal. However, the header in the template should say "Yoshis" not "Yoshies". -- Son of Suns

Excuse me...

I've noticed your caption edits. Please see this: http://www.mariowiki.com/MarioWiki_talk:Pipe_Plaza#Funny_Captions_in_Images TheGreatBlockyBoo 17:54, 13 January 2007 (EST)

Fine. I'll try to be more descriptive when tweaking pic captions. --KPH2293 18:31, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Yeah, sorry, but they WERE getting a TINY bit redundant. See Ninji for a great caption. TheGreatBlockyBoo 18:44, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Alright. My previous post didn't mean to sound rude. I only put stress on the word "try" because I might not always be able to thnk of a good caption. Also, how would I describe an image like this? --KPH2293 19:06, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Thge previous caption was good. TheGreatBlockyBoo 19:09, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Hmmm... How about this? --KPH2293 19:12, 13 January 2007 (EST)

PEACHYCAKES!?

What the hell was with all the redirects from pages named 'sockpuppet of PEACHYCAKES!'? The page history doesn't seem to note who or when these pages where created. -- Ghost Jam 08:01, 19 January 2007 (EST)

AAAAAAH! WHAT HAPPENED?! Peachcakes has struck again! @#$%. 3dhammer.gif 3D, AAAH! SPAMMERS! 3dhammer.gif
Some vandal moved a ton of pages. I was helping Sir Grodus revert the vandalism. I would have finished fixing all of it, but I had to go to school. --KPH2293 15:06, 19 January 2007 (EST)

JOTA

Nice catch with the whole JOTA issue. We didn't know about the glitch before (although it was a problem). Maybe he'll come back. Maybe he won't. But he has to remember to respect the wiki. -- Son of Suns

Agreed. --KPH2293 18:15, 19 January 2007 (EST)

Grinder

Yoshi626 there is an enemy in super mario world which isn't a monkey. It is a spinning blade.I think it should split into two articles and it would be helpful.--Fg 17:16, 23 January 2007 (EST)

OK, but you can't split the article, because this Grinder doesn't have any info on what you're talking about. --KPH2293 17:25, 23 January 2007 (EST)
I thought on Talk:Grinder Sir Grodus established that the blade was a Glinder. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 17:28, 23 January 2007 (EST)
There you go. Problem solved. Thank you, Wayoshi. --KPH2293 17:34, 23 January 2007 (EST)

Wiki Reintegration

Okay. For any articles that are specific to the Wario games, such as 18-Volt, please remove all major categories such as Characters. Replace that with Wario characters. This allows seperation between the Marioverse and the Warioverse. However, do keep the Humans category, as it is not big enough to warrant a Wario Humans category. -- Son of Suns

Like this? --KPH2293 21:14, 23 January 2007 (EST)
Yes. Exactly. What we are trying to do is keep articles about Mario games in the primary categories, while info from Wario, DK, Yoshi, and SSB in the specific sub-categories (and out of the primary categories). Make sense? -- Son of Suns
Yes. Got it. --KPH2293 21:19, 23 January 2007 (EST)

Reply: Vandal

Yes. All three accounts came from the same IP, so I blocked it for all of time. -- Son of Suns

1. I believe it's Super Easy, Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard and Super Hard. 2. You probably already heard this, but the Wario Wiki has been cancelled, and the DK Wiki is being shut down. All of the info is being moved here. --KPH2293 15:47, 27 January 2007 (EST)
Oh, and if you'll check the Block Log, a vandal has been targeting me. But Son of Suns blocked his IP. --KPH2293 15:50, 27 January 2007 (EST)
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!? Really? DK Wiki GONE!?! Bah. Phooey. So what about the other Wikis? Same'd? Oh, and too bad about the vandal. >:( 3dhammer.gif 3D, so long, beloved DK Wiki. 3dhammer.gif
AND SAMUS CAME BACK?! AND VANDALIZED MY PAGE? @#$%! 3dhammer.gif 3D, **** spammers. 3dhammer.gif
Yeah, the DK Wiki's gone. A portal exists, though. And we have some new users. --KPH2293 16:09, 27 January 2007 (EST)

Sumo Bro.

Thank you yoshi626 for expanding the sumo bro. article and also for putting on image to it.--Fg 16:19, 30 January 2007 (EST)

Actually, I didn't do anything. Son of Suns redirected it to another page. --KPH2293 16:25, 30 January 2007 (EST)

Re: Warnings

Any user can generally warn. However, if things quickly get out of hand, of course, contact an online sysop. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 16:56, 5 February 2007 (EST)

Question

What does it mean in a mission box when it says (check by editor)? Does it mean the person whoo assigned the mission has to check it, or anyone? - User: Ultimatetoad

It's the person who assigned the mission who has to check it. --KPH2293 17:59, 7 February 2007 (EST)

I dunno. Personal. Issues. Sigh... 3dhammer.gif 3D, hope to be back SOON. 3dhammer.gif

Sig pics

There's are only supposed to be one.. 3dhammer.gif 3D, riiiiight? 3dhammer.gif

Read the policy.

Additionally, a user may also have one small image to use in signatures. The image must not be taller than 20 pixels when scaled to fit the signature, and it should be roughly square. It should not be distracting (e.g., animated).

If a user wants to have more than one personal image in a signature, or if he or she wants to give out a custom award, then that's fine, but it counts as one of the large images.
