Yeah, that's the correct way to sign comments. And the little cartoon of mine is actually pixel art. It can be created in external programs, such as Microsoft Paint.

What do you want to draw, anyway? You can draw with any program, but some are suited better than others. The best method to draw something, though, is to draw a lot.
