Sprites.

Super Mario Maker sprites

The sprites in Costume Mario's page are not acceptable in this wiki. Being this late in the Super Mario Maker developmental cycle, official sprites may be released any time, but your reasons to keep the unofficial fan-made renditions are weak. If you continue undoing my edits, it constitutes as an edit war, which is highly discouraged in the wiki. If you continue disagreeing with me, do it in the talk pages. Thanks. It's me, Mario! They are not acceptable because they are fan-made renditions. Even if the structure and resolution of the sprites are pixel perfect (which some aren't), the color value is more likely to be off because the colors are most likely taken through the color picker tool from a lower-quality image. Aesthetically pleasing or not, these renditions are misleading readers into thinking they are official files ripped from the game, and the last thing our wiki needs to be is to be misleading. Accuracy is more important than looks in this case. Sprites will likely be available in the future as people continue converting Wii U files into readable .png format so I'm cautioning you and other users to wait until official sprites are available before jumping the gun and making inaccurate fan-made renditions.

It's all right. Pyro Guy shouldn't be uploading these images as well, so if he continues doing that, I'm going to let him know. In the meantime, to make good use of fan-made sprites, you can use an external uploading site such as imgur. Just want to let you know, there is a 4-image upload limit solely for userspace. Again, I suggest you wait until sprites are ripped, which won't be too long, so you can actually play around with them.

I don't see that as necessary since we don't inflate the resolutions of sprites in, say, the Super Mario Bros. article and its relative articles. I think the sprites are better when they are at their natural size. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 15:15, 13 September 2015 (EDT)

That's great, and I appreciate the time you may have put into that, but it was meant to be 3X the size of the original sprite's width, instead of them all have the same size. For instance, Mega Yarn Yoshi is meant to be a lot bigger than, say, Chibi Robo.

Userspace

Dear Corrin,

According to here, 46.41% of all your edits are userspace, whereas 13.73% are mainspace. I get that you have a lot of file edits, but your count for mainspace needs to be up, and userspace go down. File:RoyNSMBU.png Roy Koopa 11:00, 25 September 2015 (EDT)

I think it's not necessary to issue this reminder. Corrin is fairly new, and upload edits are only 5 edits away. Newer users tend to edit their space fairly frequently, so, if their userspace edits tend to be in the majority, give them some time.

Mario Maker Sprites

May I redirect you to the Spriters Resource, where the enemies are in their original resolution and outlineless? The datamine is different because it has separate sprites with outlines and crops. (T · C) 16:44, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

Okay. That sprite is actually the flipped version of question block mario walking/facing left. I remember in a showcase that the light of the lefty sprite is different. I will post an imgur image of what I'm trying to say shortly.

I'm going to assume good faith and say the IP wasn't too familiar with wiki-etiquette and didn't get that they're not supposed to alter other people's comment. You can remove the stuff they added to your comment and message them about this. If they do it again, we'll take care of it.
