Hello, Conradd. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Company images Film images Game images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Website images Company media files Film media files Game media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files Website media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common: {{game-screenshot}} - Used for game screenshots. {{game-sprite}} - Used for game sprites. {{game-3Drender}} - Used for game models. {{game-cover}} - Used for game box art. {{character-artwork}} - Used for artwork of a character. {{game-logo}} - Used for a game's logo. {{logo}} - Used for other logos. {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects. {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character. {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic. {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books. {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows. {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies. {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube. {{dvd-cover}} - Used for box art of DVDs. {{vhs-cover}} - Used for box art of VHSes. {{album-cover}} - Used for box art of music albums. {{poster}} - Used for promotional posters. {{music-sample}} - Used for music files. {{sound-clip}} - Used for sound effects. {{video-clip}} - Used for video files. In the future, please keep in mind that you need to add an image category link and license to the file description when you upload (or afterwards by editing the file page) as I've done here. I would suggest using Special:Upload instead. Mario JC 22:04, May 13, 2021 (EDT)

A few things regarding the articles you created as well: you were missing categories, and avoid adding unrelated navigation templates that don't include a link to the subject, so {{Mario games}}, {{Donkey Kong games}} and {{GBA}} should go (check your articles now to see the changes). Italics

Hello, Conradd! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.

Hi, its best to not have navigation templates and categories on userpages. Or else, your page will be registered as a page in a mainspace category such as Category:Donkey Kong enemies. WildWario (talk) 20:39, January 17, 2022 (EST)

RE: Mushrooms

• While I can understand "kinoko mark" might not be a suitable name for an actual mushroom, it's the only official name we have so that's what we should use for now. Though I can add "mushroom" after it in the template so it's referring to it specifically.
• "it is to indicate that it's something official or recognized" - Not necessarily; since the 2/3/5 UP Mushrooms are variants of the Super Mario Mushrooms specifically, which are already generally capitalised, it's acceptable to use it that way in a conjectural title. Shroob mushroom is different as it's an actual generic mushroom (and it's an official name anyway). Capitalisation in file names is a relatively minor concern and don't need to be moved to more accurate capitalisation (not to mention it's another generic mushroom anyway).
