It's actually easy: Just when you're getting ready to jump across the gap, release the acceleration and drift to the left while in mid-air. (Or in the case of Mirror Mode, drift right.) Then, stop drifting and hit the acceleration again once you're on the straightaway. There's also another area that looks like a shortcut, but isn't. This one is pretty tricky: It requires a Bob-omb and a Cataquack; you probably should race as a light character as well. When on the beach shore, throw a Bob-omb right by a Cataquack. Then, drive towards the Cataquack without hitting the Bob-omb. If the aim is perfect, the Cataquack will hurl you up into the air, along with the Bob-omb. The Bob-omb will then explode in midair, tossing you on top of the cliff, where the track wraps back around toward the finish line. The full story is long... My Bloody Valentine You can't restore images, that will only restore the text description of the image, but not the image file itself.
