Hello, you have reached my talk page. I'm going to warn you straight up that I am a serious nerd about a lot of things and that I will reflect that in our conversation.

If you plan on having an idle conversation, you should probably read my userpage so you have some idea of who I am. I've been around these parts for roughly a year now, and am a patroller, so if you have some sort of question, I can try to answer it or I can refer you to someone who can. I also have a forums account here, so feel free to pm me there as well. I have accounts on MetroidWiki and ZeldaWiki by the same name, so I can attempt to help with any issues regarding those two wikis I suppose.

A few rules you agree to by posting on my talk page:

  1. I will reply on this page
  2. No spamming, flaming, or any type of offensive language
  3. Spelling and grammar should be as correct as possible
  4. Please sign all of your comments or I will add Template:Unsigned to them. If I haven't added the template, that doesn't mean you should add it for me, I probably had a reason.
  5. I can only keep up a coherent conversation in English
  6. For other NIWA wiki users; casual discussion can go on any wiki, wiki-based goes on the wiki it is based on.

Now that that's over with, feel free to create a new header and talk to me.

You're welcome. I was exaggerating a bit. You seem to be famous at correcting peoples grammar and spelling, because somebody has an userbox that says he's friends with Bop1996, and wishes he would stop correcting my grammar. I didn't design it, I just saw it and though you ought to know. It doesn't mention anything about it intending to be offensive, so it may be an insult. Oh, I see now. About that article from before, though: is the In-Game description section really neccesary? The article gives all that information above, the only difference is how it is worded and it is slanted. By the way, that Lord Grammaticus guy from the talk page is going around and bad mouthing me. He posted the comments I left on GalacticPetey's and Mario4Ever's talk pages on Raven Effect's, without the updated ones showing my appologies, and is writing rude things about me on his talk page. Come to think of it, he was also a bit rude to me on the first talk page with the stub arguement. He posted those links before your apologies and amended behavior, so there wasn't a link of your apology to link to at the time he wrote those comments. He didn't do anything wrong, and you're upset with him for not acknowledging something that hadn't even happened yet. And I didn't see him say anything rude with regards to the article either. Fine, but Raven Effect's been pestering me too. He left a comment on my talk page, but I left a response. Since I changed my rules (as I wrote in a new header, you can vote wether to change the rules back or keep them this way) I left a few swears, but Raven Effect got what he deserved. Please don't judge me for this, and try and vote whether or not I should have rules against swearing on my talk page. Raven Effect was blunt, but he was correct. And again, he left that comment last night after you posted those comments on Mario4Ever's and GalacticPetey's talk pages, but before you apologized, so he wasn't pestering you, really. Un-Stubify

I'm not active in any PipeProjects except MarioWikify. You can improve articles without going through and destubbing them, though, if you improve the writing or layout of articles, so try there if you can't find any articles to destub. Bop1996 (Talk)

Dude, user problem

A user called User:Super Radio keeps creating the Wario enemies page, and many users have told him to stop. If he does it again, can you report it to Lindsay151, or can you just block him yourself? You're a patroller. And oh, have a good day.

1)Yes, true, my behave was inappropiate but is i normal/legal to get 5 WARNINGS from just the SAME post? I agreed the first warning but than I got 4 more warnings from the same issue. Su I offer< x <demand to delete my warning ...

2)"Creature of indeterminate gender" was not a part of showing my anger or with your words: "flaming" Antony's posts and relate was "birdo"s so I used Birdo's description from brawl to take his attention, not to show my fury.

Sinanco, flaming is a real word: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/flame#Verb ((Internet) To post a destructively critical or abusive message, especially to provoke dissent or controversy). If behavior is out of line in a disproportionate way, it's ok to get five warnings, to the point where you'll face a block against your account. If you think your warning is in error, appeal central is the place to get admin judgement on your warnings, although I think this will fail, given that the sysops agreed for this warning to be issued. For point number one, the warning for flaming is the third that was based solely off your wiki behavior patterns, and only the second to deal with your discourteous behavior. Also, your warning wasn't just from that post alone, but from several other comments referring to Hypnotoad as a "creature of indeterminate gender" in a negative way over the past few days. As for point number two, you used that term to refer to Hypnotoad in a negative or offensive fashion: there was no other reason to use that term other than to be offensive, so it's considered flaming. As for point number three, B.wilson pretty much cleared up any ambiguity there. Also, appealing this warning would violate one of the rules about appealing warnings: you cannot remove warnings or reminders issued by an administrator. Plus, you'd be appealing to the same people that unanimously agreed that you deserved a Last Warning for your actions, so it would be highly unlikely to succeed even if you were allowed to appeal it. Wiki Maintenance

I've been checking the wiki maintenance section to try and help, but it just annoys me. All of the sections that need improvement I know nothing about!M&L Beware my fury! 20:03, 27 January 2012 (EST)
You don't necessarily have to help with something specifically on that page or its features. In fact, you can just click "Random page" in the sidebar and you may find a problem you can fix, etc. Also, if you are reading the wiki for actual reading purposes, you might notice some things, so that's another way of finding things to edit. Also, if you're online, you can always patrol the Recent Changes to see what's going on, and you may notice things there too. If you can't find something to edit, these are good places to start. Not necessarily. If it's obviously supposed to be removed, like when you've just added images and there's an image requesting template, you should definitely remove it, but if there's something you aren't sure of, you should probably discuss it on the talk page first. Bop1996 (Talk)

Spike Top

Hey, I was just wondering would Spike Top be considered a Buzzy Beetle? He isn't on the article, so I want to know so I can add information about him on it. Actually, it would be better to just merge them or put a link in the related enemies section (which I would create) if he is. On Buzzy Beetle, Spike Top is already listed as a subspecies in the infobox, and their similarities and differences with Spike Tops are pointed out in the article where relevant, so I don't think there's any problem with how the situation is handled right now. Bop1996 (Talk)

The way I see it is this: you can go out and play all the G&W Mario games so you can add the info, or you can wait for a user with that knowledge to try to edit that article. There's not much else you can do about it than that. Bop1996 (Talk)

This problem has also expanded from the Mario (series) talk page and yours (as I added it here) to my own. An user posted a comment on my talk page and I posted one on his (not the reply, that's on my page. You can't miss it, it just needs a picture and it can become an article!) and it's now everywhere. If you can try to help, as this is ending up like the Trampoline Time talk page incident (not inthe sense it's become a big arguement that everyone involved in it was talking about, in the sense that it's going around everywhere and may cause problems) and we don't want gthat to happen, we just want the issue settled. Hi

Dude, the Toadette Kart is actually the slowest vehicle in the game. The Para Wing is a bit faster than the Toadette Kart, while being slightly slower than the Goo Goo Buggy.

Spinoffs

I believe those games are better suited for the spin-offs template. They are listed as spinoffs in Mario (franchise)#Mario_Sub-Series already. Otherwise, we could just merge the two templates.--Platform 07:33, 2 February 2012 (EST)

Monty Mole Trouble

In the category for Monty Moles, could you add Whacka? I don't know how to add characters, but Whacka is most likely a Monty Mole relative and should be in the category. I bet it would take a big disscussion and only a patroller like you would be able to handle it (they're not gonna take me seriously, now are they?) so can you?M&L Just because you're in red doesn't mean you're strong. We don't have proof they are Monty Moles, so I would actually oppose categorizing Whackas as Monty Moles. You can add categories to pages using "[[Category:category name]]". Also, just because I'm a patroller doesn't make me perfect or give me more leverage in discussions: it only means I am trusted with several extra tools I use to improve the wiki further and am responsible for helping managing the wiki with the rest of the admins, so appealing to me when you have something you want added without a discussion isn't going to help anything. Highest Level

Hey, Bop? I gotta question for you. I'm not sure if you know, but in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, what is the highest level Mario and Luigi can reach? I have the game, and on one save file I'm trying to find out by leveling up by crazy (they're both at level 56) but I want to know instead of just acheiving it (in case it just goes on forever) and I really want to hear it so I'll know when I have reached the highest level. Oh, you could probably find several users that know what it is on the wiki. You'd actually have an easier time finding out by checking GameFAQs or asking around the forums or chat. Anyway, one Google search with a specific search term brought 99 as the top result. Bop1996 (Talk)

It depends. If there was a discussion that was never resolved on the talk page or in the article, then it may be worth reviving to provide a good solution. If the discussion is solved or not worth bringing up again, then don't bring it up again. Length isn't really as much of a measure compared to whether a satisfactory solution was reached. I know that length isn't, but why did I get a warning? If issues aren't solved and I answer, I shouldn't get a warning because I'm not breaking rules, and that's what I've been doing on talk pages (or starting another coversation) yet I got a warning when in reality, I wasn't doing anything wrong. In actuality, talk pages are used for a very specific purpose: to solve problems relating to the article's content in a constructive manner through discussion. Commenting in old, dead discussions does nothing to improve the issue unless it's coming forth with a valid solution to a long-neglected issue. Using talk pages in nonconstructive manners such as that is considered a level one offense, which led to your first reminder template, then not heeding the reminder led to a warning. Bop1996 (Talk)

Actually, looking through your contributions, you did comment in several dead discussions. See here and here. The warning was not a joke warning (doing so is prohibited anyway as per an old passed proposal), and wasn't based off personal dislike as far as I can tell, so there's not any problem with it. That was a pretty big change to base off his opinion alone, and making major, potentially controversial changes is even considered a level two offense on the Warning Policy, so I would consider it a good idea to revert it, yes. Well, if a user implies or outright states they don't want to have a casual conversation about that sort of thing, it would be in violation of the Courtesy Policy, and that would be inappropriate behavior. However, just having a conversation (as long as you don't neglect wiki editing to focus on the community aspect on talk pages) isn't wrong by itself, so while it technically could earn you a warning, if just taken by itself, no it won't. No, you cannot have multiple accounts editing at one time. However, if you're having problems with login or forgot your password, creating a new account may be a possible solution, but there's no guarantee that creating a new account would help your problem given your current data. Bop1996 (Talk)

No, it was spam from a sockpuppet account trying to cause as much trouble as possible. It was even named "The Spam Account". It's a common and helpful practice to remove the senseless vandalism sockpuppeters or vandals put on user talk pages.
