Do you think you could get the all GUI elements from Paper Mario: Color Splash?-- 03:40, 13 November 2016 (EST) The Proposal I fail to see how those gifs, when placed on background, are "very bad". I've been working with them for over a week now and I just started work on the Paper Mario: Color Splash bestiary which uses the gifs. Sure, I can see they have the sharp edges, but it's hardly that noticeable and it has no affect on the overall appearance. The gifs are always resized small enough, about 100px, that it makes no difference. I support allowing APNGs, but not as a means to replace the current standard, which is supported by everything. Also, I tried to find some more info about Chrome getting APNG support, but found nothing. Right now, the only way is by installing an extension. If APNG support isn't coming to Chrome, that would leave only Firefox and Safari as supporters. -- 00:39, 19 November 2016 (EST) I'm blown away by this. For GIMP editing, you hit right-click on the image and save it. Open it in GIMP. Each layer should be shown that denotes different frames. Next to the layer name, you probably see frame-related information such as "replace" and "30 ms" (30 milliseconds) and you can adjust these. You can use the playback feature, which is part of a dropdown (filters, I believe?) which lets you preview the sprites. I know the animation might look weird in playback, but the "replace" descriptor makes it so you don't see the other frames when the image is exported. When you're done, you can export it as a gif (I don't use "export as 'filename.gif'") and you can mess around with the settings these as well. Generally, though, I like "replace every frame" and "looped", and make sure "export as animation" is checked. Once it's exported, you can double-click the .gif and it'll probably open Internet Explorer, where you'll see the animation previewed. It's me, Mario! I forgot to clear a part of the background when the egg becomes elongated instead of being in a standard pose. I recorded the animation in 50FPS using GifCam as the game was running at that speed (normally 30/60FPS). I wanted the animation to be as authentic as possible. 60FPS doesn't divide evenly across 1000ms. I decided to run the game at PAL standard (like playing NTSC-U SMW2 on a European SNES). Each frame lasts for 20ms at 50FPS, which matches the European release. HOWEVER, I did notice that a large time of her status is entirely in strong negative emotions like "I want to die" or "Good riddance to 2016", and I don't think that's acceptable to be honest. I didn't quite know what you were getting at, and it was too late to respond on the proposal as the deadline had passed, so I just thought I'd bring it up here. I just like to see examples supporting having Cheese getting a different page compared to Red. So far I've seen a user say that Red's case is more haphazard, more "spotty", but if this means Cheese appears even less often, I just think that makes more of a reason to discuss Cream and Cheese as one article, especially when this is crossover content, so I don't think it's harmful to convey a bit of a limited scope as crossover pages seem to do? Anyway, I can point to Cream and Cheese being suitable as a duo, such as the naming convention but also appearing as a trophy together in every Smash Bros. installment since Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but again, if there's a solid case for keeping them separate, and the case is within the boundaries of Mario & Sonic (for example, Cream and Cheese might be more "separate" in their home games but that can be argued as tangential to MarioWiki?). Honestly, it's all a bit hard to say really- I'm not even sure about the best way to go about it all really, I've been asking around to see if anyone else has some ideas for a while now, but I've been met with the usual quiet response as when I ask about most things Mario & Sonic. See, the thing is Cream does appear much more frequently than Cheese (I think Cheese only starts appearing in the series in 2012, whereas Cream's been around since 2008), but that is somewhat making me lean towards separating them- I feel like if Cheese is left on the Cream article, I'd estimate that at least 60% of the content will have no relation to him whatsoever. I'm also not entirely sure where he appears either, but I can't check quickly- I'd have to comb through hours and hours of stuff to find out- but similarly, it's harder for me to progress with any coverage in which I can find out at the same time until a location to put it all gets sorted. If you've got any ideas, it might be good to hear them just in case it presents a better solution- I was just trying to get at least some progress made with the proposal. And I have very little useful knowledge about the Sonic series outside of Mario & Sonic and some super random trivia, so that's not really informing my decision in any way. :P BBQ Turtle (talk) 16:18, November 26, 2020 (EST) The coverage between Ashley and Red is also more about Ashley, so there's a good portion of that page that deals with just Ashley, being Super Smash Bros., Crazy Galaxy, Other appearances, and from reading it, Red takes a background to Ashley. So I think a hypothetical Cream and Cheese article will be similar to this though just a more slanted coverage in favor of Cream the Rabbit. I just feel Cheese appearing less than Red justifies his getting an article even less than Red, on top of us dealing with limited crossover coverage. I don't think the lack of knowledge about the Sonic series is bad, it might help develop a background for these characters, but it might not be relevant information since we're dealing with just how these characters appear in the Mario & Sonic Olympic Games and the appearance in Smash Bros. by proxy of Sonic guest starring in Smash Bros..
