Questions

I'll be more than happy to answer any questions related to homebrew/riivolution hacking (includes Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and general sound replacements). I get a ton of those regularly, so don't be shy to ask me if you have problems or if you're interested in installing homebrew on your Wii, as well as making model replacements. If you're also interested in porting assets for Source, as in Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, or Gmod, I can help there too.

Policy on projects

I don't mind if you help participate in any my projects without contacting me first as long as you're not actively edit-sniping me as I write articles or add uploaded images to tables as I'm uploading them, because this creates edit conflicts and makes it even harder for me to save edits on articles I'm working on. However, it's generally still polite to ask first if it's ok to assist in my projects. The answer will be yes unless otherwise stated. I just don't want anyone edit-snipe police for me should someone else create articles out of red links that I was planning to create or create tables of items that I was about to create. Any help is very appreciated.

Think something I did is wrong and incorrect? It is fine to discuss it here in a peaceful manner. Insulting me or calling me out because I did something you don't like obviously violates a MarioWiki policy and you could get warned for it depending on the severity of it. Wouldn't it be just easier to just...discuss it? I won't bite if you don't provoke me.
Don't bother if you're gonna troll here: the edit is gonna get reverted instantly anyway so no one will see it. I'm already trained enough to ignore idiots thanks to my experience here.

By that I mean

By that I mean that the original form of the blurb was put there by an admin and was reinstated each time someone took it off by an admin. The blurb is worded differently now but it's the same meaning.

Just because an admin did it doesn't mean there can be room for improvement. All this sentence does is state the obvious; we already have the "articleabout" template on the very top of the page that highlights their distinction, and stating this is just repeating what has already been stated.

This is about the user page, no? Ultimate Mr. L (talk) calling his user page disturbing is kind of an extreme way to look at it. If LTIan (talk) were doing these actions outside the user page, yes, get on the ban hammer because any wiki thrives on cooperativeness as he doesn't possess it in any capacity. I already see he has had several warnings and bans about being combative with other users, trying to override other people and asserting that he is always right by committing his edits. I see his user page once had something about hating YoshiKong (talk). He didn't explain why but whatever and was since removed. If he provided critique or evaluation rather than blanket statements declaring something is better or bad, yeah, maybe it would have a reason to stay. I can see that he is trying to defame others, just in more discrete ways. It's borderline going against policy, at least the current state of his user page or any statement he says claiming he hate this place. Images from a while ago

I noticed you uploaded the following images from around three years ago:

In a message to M&SG (talk), you said you had cheat codes on or something when you took these images. The last one isn't really being used anywhere other than Gallery:Baby Mario and the first one is fine, so it's more the second one I'm worried about, as that image is being used on the Heart (item), Heart Coach, and Mushroom City pages. Should it be reuploaded as it's showing a normally impossible circumstance? I know it's possible to get anyone's special item in Battle Mode, but this is during a standard race. Perhaps reupload the image on a battle course or with Peach or Daisy in the kart instead? 17:51, 8 December 2016 (EST)

Actually, on second thought, it is possible to get the Heart item as Mario or Luigi on two-player mode. The back player just has to attack someone holding the item to steal it. Guess the image is totally fine. :P

Well, the license talked about homemade sprites and that's the closest thing I find that can be used to describe this, as it's not 100% the official texture, it's a transformation version of it, with the stretching, palette, and the UV coordinates on top of it.

Mario Strikers Artwork

Would you or someone else be willing to upload a version of Peach and Waluigi's artworks from Super Mario Strikers with a transparent background so as to replace the older JPEG versions? I already have them arranged initially by the time nominated (although this might cause inconsistencies with time zones, but we can deal with that later on), but the reason I'm not making subheaders for the years is because some users may try to organize the headers alphabetically to find a particular article nomination.

If that's the case, then I say we reorganize the categories so that their alphabetical arrangement is consistent. The current setup makes it harder to navigate; you can look at Category:FA failure archives as an example of my point. The first six archives listed there are already problematic. The Blooper nomination is listed before the Bike nomination, and the second and third nominations of Baby Mario are listed around the third nomination for Boo, and the Paper Mario bestiary nomination is listed between the second Baby Mario nomination and the Bike nomination! Reorganizing these archives may require admin intervention (since they're, well, archives) but that might be a good start for fixing up the actually totally-out-of-shape Featured Articles archives.

That sounds like a good idea. Though I can tell you at least two things that I feel need to be addressed:

The nomination number. What I mean by that is, was the nomination first/second/third/whatever for that particular article? If you take a look at my table, you might understand what I mean.
An extensive color code, which, again, I have included in my table. I feel that it might be important so that users don't just assume right off the bat that an article is featured/unfeatured when it in fact had its FA status changed. I also decided on the color scheme I implemented to remain consistent with the Proposals archive.

Yes, I will definitely edit your table to the best of my ability. Perhaps we might be closer than we think to proposing this...
