My Stance on Wikia

Neutral
I joined my first NIWA wiki, SmashWiki and first Wikia wiki One Piece Wikia nearly simultaneously, so I never grew a hatred or devotion to Wikia. Recently, I have been getting extremely annoyed with Wikia, primarily since one of my computers is a Mac from 2005 (ugh I don't like it).

Mario Games I Have Played

Mario Games I Have Played
Game Completion Rate Competency Rate (if applicable) Comment
File:Donkey Kong NES Cover.PNG Donkey Kong* 5/5   One of the classics. It was actually pretty nice with the GCN controller. One of my issues is that jumping can randomly make you die. Well at least it was easier to do then in Uprising (you know what I'm talking about).
File:SMB Boxart.png Super Mario Bros.** 3/5   I have yet to beat this game because of the lack amount of extra lives. Recently I used the warp zones to get to World 5. The furthest I have gotten i World 5-2.
File:Pibolim.PNG Pinball* ?   Another game from Animal Crossing I received via cheat codes. Even though Mario only appears in the bonus level the game is still fun. Is it a Mario game? I guess so.
North American box art for Super Mario Bros. 3 Super Mario Bros. 3** 1/5   A game that is more difficult than I thought. The pyramid level in World 2 stressed me out so much I gave up on the game. Maybe if someone could help me get through that level I can see the rest of the game.
North American box art for Super Mario Land Super Mario Land** 5/5   A game with awesome music despite it's strange meta-game. The tikis and monkeys are extremely annoying though. World 4's music takes us back to Japan. :D
North American box art for Super Mario World Super Mario World** 3/5   Another game that I have yet to beat. The Forest of Illusion is where I stopped. I reached the fortress but could not complete it. The drill threw me off.
North American box art of Super Mario 64. Super Mario 64** 4/5   A game that houses some great music. I did beat bowser but did not achieve all 150 (however many there are) stars.
North American box art for Mario Kart 64 Mario Kart 64** 90% 71% A fun game that I have yet to complete. I am at 150cc at this point and since the controls of this game are different than I expected, I do not do very well. Choco Mountain really gets me on the wrong end.
MariopartyGBA.jpg Mario Party Advance 94%   Ok, I don't like how this game is COMPLETELY different from the other Mario party games. The limited turns hinder the fun of the boards and make it nearly impossible to clear the challenges. The minigames are fun, especially the Dueling ones and the gadgets, well you get the idea. Go tip that stick!
North American box art for Mario Party 7 with the Nintendo GameCube Microphone included Mario Party 7 98%   My first Mario Party game and a favorite of mine. Good mini-games including the Duel and Bowser ones; overall great boards and the including of Dry Bones and Birdo in the series.
The North American Boxart for Mario Kart DS. Mario Kart DS*** 1/5 ? I just think the drift is off. You need to swerve like a spin attack in Kirby AirRide to get a mini-turbo? No...
File:SuperMarioStrikers.JPG Super Mario Strikers*** 2/5 73% A game I play at my cousins' house. The ball and characters either move slower than in Mario Strikers Charged or the stages are bigger. This leads to longer matches are harder goals. Also the graphics for the Super Strikers are mediocre. Oh well. "Doo doo doo doo doo doo...Luigi."
USCover MSCF.jpg Mario Strikers Charged 91% 81% As I am American this is called Mario Strikers Charged here. A very fun game (and one of the few Mario games I have not sold) which I use Luigi in. Now I don't know advanced techniques in the game (like bouncing the ball of the wall above Kritter and even a defensive jump pass), but I have decent skill. Yes I know of the Boo glitch where a power sidkick like Birdo can shoot a no miss goal every time. I hate it >_>.
Boxart of Mario Party 8 Mario Party 8 95%   A game that really ruined my expectations. The wii moiton was taken overboard and why the hell is there this ugly yellowish glare when the wiimote warning screen comes up (the white one). Graphics are disappointing.
Boxart for Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario Galaxy 96%   One of the best of the Mario series, with it's incredibly well thought out music, good graphics and gameplay that surpasses Super Mario 64. I like this one at the same level as the sequel.
File:MarioKartWiiEuDVDcover.jpg Mario Kart Wii 100% 78% My first Mario Kart game and one the the four I have played. I used Automatic Drift from the time I started to the time I sold the game. Yeah, Manual Drift doesn't work on the Mach Bike. I played mostly battle and also noticed the competetive levels between Regional and WorldWide swapped close to 2011. Originally the less skilled players were in Worldwide, but then it swapped to Regional. I don't understand why.
North American boxart of Mario Super Sluggers Mario Super Sluggers 98%   Along with Mario Strikers Charged, I got this game through Nintendo Selects when they were chosen. A pretty fun game, with a good one player mode (except for Bowser Jr.'s extremely annoying phrases) and decent gameplay. One thing though Bowser's Star Swing...they catch it almost EVERY SINGLE TIME. Talk about programming.
NSMBW NA Box Art.jpg New Super Mario Bros. Wii 97%   One of my favorite Mario games and one of the most enjoyable multiplayer Mario games. I played this with my sister; she used Blue Toad and always loved World 3. She played with me until we faced Bowser (for the 2nd time). That was pretty stressful as we kept falling into the lava but in the end she was the one that got to the switch and beat the game. At the time I fell into Lava. One of my favorite tracks resides in World 8: Level 8-2 the underground level.
Boxart for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 89%   When I saw the E3 2009 trailer for this on the Nintendo Channel, I was extremely excited. A sequel to one of my favorite Mario games, probably superior to NSMBW. When I got the game I played a lot of hours on end. The Starship sequence was very fun and the main theme is very catchy. As they said, these are the galaxies they left out of the game, along with emphasizing Yoshi (which was fun except when speed running the Grand Star Battle) and some new elements added in. I wasn't terribly impressed with the Cloud Flower and Rock Mushroom and I was upset how they didn't keep the Ice Flower in the game.
The North American cover for Super Mario 3D Land Super Mario 3D Land 96%   The game I received with my 3DS on Christmas of 2011. The game was a good mix up of New Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 (just with the Tanuki Leaf). The levels were fun and playing as Luigi was a treat (even though most levels were nearly impossible because of weegeee's traction) with the Fox Tail (I never seen him with a Tanuki Leaf before). Once I was introduced to the Special levels I was pretty excited about the more challenging levels and the first level introducing you to the Statue Leaf not to mention the inclusion of the Question Box which was the most surprising part of the game.
Box art for the game, Mario Kart 7. Mario Kart 7 99% 78% A fun addition to the Mario Kart series but I have some issue with it. Since I was not used to handheld Mario Kart games, I noticed the tracks were much shorter and thinner than in Mario Kart Wii. This meant if I got hit by a Shell it would take me back five places at least. This is also due to the fact that, since the courses are so small, the acceleration is too slow to allow you to get back up to top speed before someone passes you. And please don't get me started on the new Rainbow Road. I know I fall on it a lot. My favorite course is DS Airship Fortress, probably since it is longer than the other courses and has less places to fall or get hit off track.
The front North American cover art for New Super Mario Bros. 2 New Super Mario Bros. 2 76%   The first game I ever preordered and a title worth the wait. While most would criticize the complete focus on coins, I liked the new twist to the New Super Mario Bros. series. This game was easier than Wii, probably since NSMB2 had only six real levels, the other two were the special Mushroom and Flower, not to mention the final showdown with Bowser had three item blocks and a very short segment. And again you can't skip through the "we tricked you" segment they pulled in the last game. Anyways I like the Gold Flower and Block and I take enjoyment in triple jumping/ throwing gold "balls" at blocks.

*Played the game via Animal Crossing
**Played the game on Virtual Console (3DS or Wii)
***Have not played enough to make a valid judgement of the game
