Jdaster64's Userpage

Hey, I'm Jdaster64, and I love Mario games, particularly the 2D platformers and the earlier Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games. Back in the day, I did a lot of poking through game data to find info on the enemy and item stats in Paper Mario TTYD and the first three Mario & Luigi games, kart stats from Mario Kart: Double Dash, DS, and Wii, and the mini-game decathlon scoring tables for Mario Party 5, 6, and 7. (Plus some physics parameters from SMB, SMB3, and SMW, but that's mostly dry, nitty-gritty programming stuff and isn't very interesting in itself.)

A lot of that stuff is chronicled on my website here: The Super Mario Files, and if you ever want any clarification on stuff there, or want to see anything I mentioned before that's not there, bug me on my talk page or whatever and maybe I'll actually update the site for once.

If you're the type that doesn't mind reading straight data, then this is probably more your type of thing: Jdaster64's Stats Compendium, a collection of stats gathered from various (mostly Mario) games backed up by in-game data and/or extensive testing. I'll be sure to keep up this to date if there's patently wrong info there, and you can either leave comments on Dropbox, contact me on Twitter, or on my talk page here (in descending preference) to let me know if anything seems amiss.

Games I Enjoy

Pretty much every main-series Mario game (SMB: The Lost Levels, SMB3, SMW, SM64, SMG, and NSMB are my favorites), the first three Paper Mario games, the Mario & Luigi series (particularly Superstar Saga), and Mario Kart (especially 64, Double Dash!!, and DS). Played a lot of Mario Party 3, 5, 6, and 7 back in the day as well.

Outside of the Mario series, all the Smash Bros. games (can't pick a favorite, I love them all for different reasons), pretty much all the main-series Kirby and Pokémon games (esp. Air Ride, Amazing Mirror, Canvas Curse, Return to Dream Land and Dream Land 3 for the former and FRLG, HGSS, Black/White and their sequels, and X/Y for the latter), the original Donkey Kong Country games, and the EarthBound series are all fantastic as well. And I've got a huge soft spot for a ridiculous number of old Namco arcade games (Super Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Sky Kid, Metro-Cross, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Man Arrangement (1996), to name a few).

Also, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is and always will be the best game of all time. It's my dream to have the skills to use this trick to break 9,000,000 in Challenge Mode.

Websites, etc.

Jdaster64's Stats Compendium - A Google Drive folder full of documents of (mostly Mario) game stats, etc. This stuff is all pretty well-tested, and straight from the games in many cases. If you have any questions, contact me on Twitter, or if you must, post on my talk page here.

The Super Mario Files - Mario game stats, etc. blog. Haven't updated in a while, but don't let that stop you from bugging me about it.

Twitter - My most active social media page at the moment.

Personal website - Some video game programming / portfolio-esque stuff.

YouTube - Walkthrough, vidya games, etc. channel - A while since I updated this too.

YouTube - Nintendo piano arrangements / music channel - This I update pretty regularly. Tons o' Mario, Kirby, EarthBound, and Pokémon stuff, in particular.

DeviantArt page - Not very active here lately either.

Tumblr page - Mostly reblogs and stuff from my other sites.

Brawl Vault gallery - Haven't done anything with Brawl since Smash 4 came out, sadly.

I'm not really active on any forums at the moment (other than a few mostly Mario-related Discord servers), but I used to frequent Smashboards, the Fungi Forums, BitForums, and the Spriters' Resource.
