Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.
|
Just got the console last christmas, basically tried the game and did not get further than the first world.
|
You cannot go wrong with the classics! It is nice but the controls do feel pretty clunky sometimes. A solid 8/10.

Just got the console last christmas, tried the game and died of a Poison Mushroom...

You can actually go wrong with this one. While it is nice to play the "official" sequel to Super Mario Bros., the controls are still pretty weird, we cannot go backwards and it is way more difficult. It is a 6.5/10.

Super NES Classic Edition

Played it a while ago, I had a lot of fun playing it with my sister. We did make it to World 2, Donut Plains, after beating Iggy, but that is it.
|
The controls feel way better and we can go backwards. Moreover, the variety in gameplay, songs and ennemies have been improved by a long shot. Solid 8.5/10 for this masterpiece, even though I played only through the first world.

Also played it a while ago. I think I played a bunch of tracks but definitely not all of them.
|
After playing Mario Kart 8 and going back to this game, man I was disorientated. My dad and I just screwed up nearly every turn beacause of how difficult in our opinions the controls were. But after a few races, we were getting used to it but I would say that we were still working a little harder. The other downside is that the tracks feel all the same, but it is understandable regarding the system they worked on. That is a 7/10 for me.

Played a really tiny bit of the game, I remember little to nothing about this game at all. Did the first level or two maybe.
|
For what I have played, the controls have been improved a bit and the story is quite original. It does not look like a sequel to Super Mario World though. But for the originality, the plot and the improved controls, it is a 8/10 now, but this might change regarding if I play it again.

I think I did a fight against Bowser but I did not know how to beat him. But it is weird since I have only played a few of this game. I might document more using this wiki.
|
I cannot put a mark on this game. I just do not remember the game at all, but I know that the weird 3D style definitely disorientated me, and the fact that it is a RPG is quite surprising for a Mario game. I will surely go back on this one when I have the time (high school...).

Did a lot of mini-games but not all of them. Played nearly all the boards!
|
One of the most underrated game from the Mario Party series! The boards are incredible: King Boo's Haunted Hideaway and Koopa's Tycoon Town being easily my favorites. However, I have to admit that some mini-games could be improved, and that others are just bad. But with that said, it is an 8/10 for the boards and the portion of good mini-games this game still offers.

Raced on all the tracks multiple times. Finished each GP in 50cc with ★ rank.
|
What I can say about this game that has not been said before? 10/10, and as Arcintel would say, it is the worse but that is why it is the best. This game refuses to die with hundreds of custom tracks being made each year, and the overall track selection of the vanilla game is outstanding! Finally, this game has the most awesome shortcuts and ultra shortcuts, and the most advanced mechanics of any other Mario Kart game!

Finished the game at 101%. All Star Coins including those in World 9, every normal exit and secret exit, ★★★★★ save file.

The fact that this is the only game from the New Super Mario Bros. series I have played may impact my opinion because a lot of people find those games boring and repetitive. But for me, it is a nice game and a blast in multiplayer. We had so much fun playing through all the levels with my sister, so that is why I give it an honest 8.5/10. Yep guys! The musics are awesome and unforgettable even if there is only a few of them, the level design is insane and the graphics are nice and revamped.

Completed every level of the game with all Green Stars and Stamps except the last two level of World Crown: Mystery House Marathon and Champion's Road.
|
It is a really fun title. This was my first ever 3D Mario game, and I got to say that it amazed me. I was used to the linear formula as I played only 2D games, so the fact that it was not open-world did not bother me at all. The level design is great, and I loved going through the levels and discovering new secrets. Finally, I really like using all the different power-ups as they are a ton in this game, in fact, the most out of any Mario game. I would say it is an honest 8/10 for this game, as it is not perfect and has its issues, but overall is a good game.

Played all the tracks hundreds of times... Finished all Grand Prix with ★★★ in every CC class.

Man this is a big part of my life. With more than 500 hours on this game, I am safe to assume that it is a excellent game. I am never bored of playing it. Since 2014, I am enjoying this game, playing online in both race and battle mode for free, getting Blue Shelled, and oh man I could go on and on. Something a lot of people are not fine about is the Item distribution, and for some reasons, it never bothered me. I think it is not overpowered that the items are distance-based, as if the first is way too far for the second, it is reasonable to him to have helps. Solid title, character roster (though where is Funky Kong) and track selection (still waiting for an HD remake of Coconut Mall by the way), it is a 9.5/10. I am still playing it on every week-end with my family!

Played a while ago, I would say I have made through most of the levels.
|
This is definitely a hidden gem. It is a nice and refreshing title that changes from the traditional Mario formula. This game is unique, and the levels are pure joy to go through. It is original that Captain Toad cannot jump, but I got to say that this can be bothering sometimes. Also, the turnip mechanic return is nice. For the originality and good level design, along with having some nice secrets, it is an 8/10, as it can feel a bit repetitive sometimes.

Created a lot of levels.
|
This game was the most surprising one related to the Wii U. When I got this game, I was so excited! It is just insane to finally be able to create our own levels. I opened the game, put it in, and played until late in the evening, creating some levels. I was putting some blocks and I noticed that sometimes, some new blocks become available to you after a while. After a bit, I figured out that it depends on the number of blocks you place. So I decided to just fill in the level with ground blocks so I could have access to everything. Since then, I spent hours and hours creating my own levels... For the neat concept and execution, it is a 8.5/10 (some gizmos are missing and the level search could be improve).

Nice title, Nintendo. A lot of people dilsike this title beacause of poor content, but I do not have the same opinion. In fact, this is the only Mario Tennis game I have played. I think that the different game styles are fun, especially when playing with friends. Sure, there are not a lot of them, and most of those will be played one or twice, and then never touched again, but I like this game just for the Mega Battle. It so cool and intense, and the Mega Mushrooms are insanely useful? I love how it is jusyt overpowered sometimes, making an Ultra Smash while being mega. Just for that, it is a 7/10. It is not a game that you will play every day, just occasionally, and there is only a few game mode with only one being fun in my opinion (Classic Tennis can be fun, but it is not very unique), but the character roster is nice.

Do not know where I am, I played it a while ago.
|
I do not have a lot to say about this game, and that is the problem. While it is sure a good addition to the series, it does not stand out from the others. The gameplay feels pretty repetitive, but I do like the Item Stands mechanic as it put some suspense, but sometimes does feel quite frustrating. Overall, a good title with nothing that stand out, nicely executed with a good character roster, it is a 7.5/10.

Played through the first four levels as only the first world is free.

I was really hyped to play as Mario on mobile. But when I got the game... Is it Nintendo? Honestly, I am not exaggerating at this point. The game is only free-to-start, having to pay 10€ for the full game! What? Now, I understand: it is a Mario game, and other New Super Mario Bros. titles were not free. But this one is a mobile game, not a console one. It features only 24 levels... The only thing I found a bit cool is the Kingdom Builder. The other modes are fine, but not memorable. And that is the main problem: the game is not memorable at all, it feels bland and uninspired, like a worse version of what could have been New Super Mario Bros. Mobile. Due to the price, the low number of levels and the poor originality, it is a 6/10. It is mediocre. Good things are : the Kingdom Builder, the level design (it is nice), the color coins providing some challenge, and the character roster.
