Triple Jump (minigame)

Template:Minigame-infobox Triple Jump is a 4-player minigame found in Mario Party 5, and returns in Mario Party: The Top 100. The name is the same as one of Mario's basic moves, the Triple Jump. The minigame takes place in the sky with the classic Mario foes at every signpost and a Super Mario Bros.-esque background.

Gameplay

The players attempt to jump the farthest by making a triple jump. For the first jump, the players must press the button rapidly, so their character will float farther. Once their character touches the ground, the players must press rapidly for the same effect. For the third jump, the players must press rapidly once more. Each jump takes the player a farther distance from the last. To win, one of the players must have the highest distance.

This minigame appears as the last minigame in Mini-Game Decathlon. Here, the player's objective is to jump as far as possible before hitting the ground a third time to earn as much points as possible, up to a maximum of 1,000. The default record for this minigame in Mini-Game Decathlon is 28 metres (PAL) or 84 feet (NTSC).
