The Wario Hop

The Wario Hop is a mini-game in the Game Boy Advance game Wario Land 4. The Wario Hop is one of three mini-games that can be accessed through the Mini-Game Shop. The mini-game costs 5000 points to play (discounted to 2000 points in the Entry Passage). Wario must select the Red Game Bot to play. The game begins with Wario riding a tire in the middle of the desert. After a few seconds Wario will have to jump over the relaxing Arewo Shitain-hakase. Then more obstacles follow such as rocks, pigs, cacti, and cowboys. Each successful jump over an obstacle makes a sound, which is in time to the background music in the minigame. After jumping over thirty-six obstacles in a row, the next obstacle will be a Drummer, which speeds up the game and increases the difficulty. The original music for this mini game is extremely similar to the theme song from the arcade game "Mappy".
Wario will be awarded a Frog Medal after every fifteen successful jumps. The minigame ends when Wario fails to jump over an obstacle and hits it with the car tire. Frog Medals can be spent at the Item Shop, in exchange for items that can assist Wario in defeating a boss.
