Template:Character-infobox The Three Mushrooms are a group of characters who appear in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Ten Koopmandments". They live in Pyramid Land, and their names are Larry, Curly, and Momar. They highly resemble The Three Stooges, due to having similar names, personalities, and appearances.

History

After arriving at the nearby village to investigate Koop Tut's evil set of laws, Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad discover it to be deserted, with the exception of The Three Mushrooms, who show up and introduce themselves as Larry, Curly, and Momar. Princess Toadstool asks where the other villagers are, and they respond that they were kidnapped by Koop Tut, who turned them into bricks.

Meanwhile, Koop Tut is mentioning his plan to use the bricks to build a monument honoring himself. Mouser shows up and informs him that they are fresh out of bricks, so they are unable to finish the structure. Koop Tut commands him to round up the Koopa Pack and infiltrate the village again to find any remaining Mushroom People, so that he can turn them into bricks and finish his monument.

They arrive at the village, where they are ambushed by the trio, using a catapult which launches pies at them. Mario, Luigi, Toad, and the princess try to help by attacking as well. The Three Mushrooms fire more pies, but they miss Koopa and his minions and hit the Marios instead. Koop Tut then uses his magic wand to transform the trio into a pile of bricks.

After escaping from the pyramid, Mario uses the magic staff to turn the bricks back into Mushroom People, including The Three Mushrooms. Mario decides to take them to safety, and leads them to the Red Sauce Sea. By freezing the rapid waters, Mario allows The Three Mushrooms and the others to cross safely. King Tut and his minions are washed away, however, allowing Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, Toad, and The Three Mushrooms to celebrate.
