“What's the deal with that rope hanging down? I have a sudden urge to boogie...”
Huey, Paper Mario: Color Splash

The Emerald Circus is a location found in Paper Mario: Color Splash. The path leading here is unlocked after getting the Green Mini Paint Star from Mossrock Theater, and will color in Luigi and his kart outside the map, after getting the Green Big Paint Star here. Lemmy Koopa is fought on top of the Big Top Tent, once the show is over. The Disco Ball Thing is found here.

Outside of the circus is a Shy Guy selling tickets. However, Mario cannot enter the circus as they only perform in front of full crowds. Mario can go backstage to find the red Rescue Squad leader, crumpled up after being eaten by a Yoshi. Additionally, Mario can attempt to free the Yoshis, although one eats him and spits him out. The Rescue Squad leader goes to wait in line for the circus, and Mario must visit Port Prisma to send the rest of the Rescue Squad to the circus. With all 49 members, the circus opens up.

Inside the circus, Lemmy is introduced as an illusionist. He makes a green Shy Guy disappear, only to reappear in the audience. Next, Lemmy makes the green Big Paint Star vanish, not showing where it is. He leaves, and an intermission is declared, to the outrage of the audience. Huey encourages Mario to look for the Big Paint Star, and backstage, the Yoshis have escaped. Yoshi talks to Mario, thanking him for letting him escape from the Dark Bloo Inn. Going past the cage, Mario can re-enter the circus in a back room, and pulling a rope causes the Disco Ball Thing to fall down.

Mario and Huey go on stage, and Huey confesses that he has stage fright. He attempts an impression of a tin can, but gets booed by the audience. Mario performs a trick based on Super Mario Bros. where he grows from Super Mushrooms thrown at him. Suddenly, Lemmy announces that Mario will be fighting enemies, starting with the Unicycle Shy Guys. Yoshis may appear on stage and attack Mario, ending his turn. Next, two Wild Dino Rhinos and an Animal Trainer Shy Guy appear. After they are defeated, a Buzzy Beetle Tower is formed. Finally, Trampoline Shy Guys enter the stage. Once they are defeated, the circus performance ends, with the trampoline remaining. If Mario and Huey jump on it, they are brought to the top of the tent, where Lemmy and the Big Paint Star are hiding.

In battle, Lemmy summons Juggler Bros., Circus Bros., and Ptooies. After he has taken enough damage, he gets out his Wonder Ball and starts spinning on it. Mario must use the Disco Ball Thing and the Ice Pick Thing in succession to pop the Wonder Ball. When the fight ends, Lemmy admits defeat. Collecting the green Big Paint Star results in Luigi's kart being repainted.
