The Boss of Tricky Ruins
Template:Missionbox The Boss of Tricky Ruins is the second episode of Noki Bay in Super Mario Sunshine. The episode's objective is to climb through the ruins and defeat Gooper Blooper.
Layout
To the left of the player's starting position is a coast with many ruins embedded in the mountainside. By spraying the markings on the wall, the ruins will be revealed and the player can climb up to the top. To reach the top of the ruins and reach Gooper Blooper, the player has to first spray the panel to the left of the Boat Shop rental hut. Doing so will make the wall recede and Mario can Wall Jump up to the next segment. The walls will return to normal after enough time has passed, so the player needs to be quick in order to avoid being shoved off the mountain. At the next wall of markings, the player needs to spray the marking on the far left to reveal the passageway. Mario then needs to Wall Jump around the passage and run up the steep hill before the wall is restored.
At the top of the cliff is Gooper Blooper, ready for a rematch. All of his tactics are the same from the last two fights in Ricco Harbor, but Gooper Blooper moves slightly faster in this battle. By pulling the mouth and snapping it back twice, Gooper Blooper will be defeated for good and the passage into a tomb will open, allowing the player to collect the Shine Sprite within.
