The 'Shroom:Issue LXXXI/Poll Committee Ad
Season's greetings! Super Mario Bros. (talk) here, on behalf of the Poll Committee, inviting you (yes, you!) to submit ideas for our polls for 2014! The members of the Poll Committee love coming up with ideas and selecting polls to feature, but every now and then we feel it would be nice to have some ideas from outside of the group be considered so as to include the community at-large. It's an easy process, too! All you have to do is come up with ideas for what you want to ask your fellow MarioWiki-browsers and submit them to me via Private Message on the Super Mario Boards.
The information you need to include when you submit an idea for a poll is:
- Poll Title — Give the poll a generic title that states what it is about. Some common choices for the poll title are the just the question itself or a shortened version of it.
- Question — Provide the question that you would like for the viewers to answer.
- Answer choices — And then provide the answer choices that you would like to include in the poll.
The Poll Committee will review any appropriate poll suggestions. Our polls generally target the Mario-series and its fans, Nintendo fans overall, or the Super Mario Wiki and its community. Polls do not have to be strictly related to these topics, however. In example, asking which non-Nintendo console the voters prefer could be a legitimate poll nomination since the results would be from the perspective of those that have an interest in the Mario-series. Any poll nominations that deal with overtly inappropriate topics will not be considered.
I will post up ideas I receive in my inbox for the Poll Committee to consider. Applications for poll nominations can be sent in at any time and will be posted in the Poll Committee's board for review for the following cycle! If a poll idea is not chosen immediately, it can still be used at a later point. When your unique poll idea is used, you will receive full credit for the idea when it is archived! Every poll we run usually gets several thousand votes. So why don't you suggest your unique poll ideas to be featured? Yours could very well be the next one to be run and voted on by Super Mario Wiki browsers from around the world!
