Greetings! I hope you're having a good April. I sure am not, as my nose is exploding from spring allergies. Spring's definitely the worst season. Whoever disagrees can take their entitled allergy-free body somewhere else. (Please don't actually leave.)

Luckily, we've got plenty in store this month! Viper26 (talk) has joined Fun Stuff, making both Crosswords and Word Searches. Welcome to the team! Also check out this month's picrosses, maze, quiz, and whatever Silly Stories is talking about.

Section of the Month

Although Guess Who! was voted Fun Stuff Section of the Month for March, Meta Knight (talk) also did a very fine job with his mazes. Congratulations to all our other writers as well!

Guess Who!

Written by: Andymii (talk)

The game's first title screen with the default teams.
Mario and Luigi are doomed, Peach and Daisy are doomed, and Wario and Waluigi are doomed. What a depressing title screen.

Have an idea for a theme? Suggest it here!

This month's theme is courtesy of AfternoonLight (talk).

Mario Kart: Double Dash! was my first video game. I played it on my GameCube so early I only vaguely remember. However, the game was so cheerful and smooth to play. It's still my favorite Mario Kart game.

Among the things I recall were the sheer difficulty of Rainbow Road (for a 5-6 year old), and the fact that Invincibility Stars made it actually harder to race on it, dreading getting it from an item box. As my first game, the characters were also very memorable. I still remember not knowing the purpose of Wario and Waluigi, and just asserting that they were "pirates." Even the NPCs added to the cheerfulness of the game.

Today's Guess Who will be dedicated to all characters found in the game, from the most popular racers to the Goombas on the road. Get ready to start guessing!

Chapter 3:
Maddening Music
Cena Song.png

The path towards Donald Trump's front porch was filled with treacherous traps and bad music.

As Trump's front door became slightly visible a mile off in the distance, a foul sound started to form. It slowly got louder and louder. Unbeknownst to the Mario Bros, Trump had stuck hidden boom boxes in his landscaping that blasted Justin Beiber songs 24/7. For the common man, it was a deadly threat, but Trump and his acquaintances enjoyed Beiber's ballads, and as such were resistant to the deadly attack.

The songs kept getting louder as the Bros. trekked on, and the lyrics kept getting worse. The sounds became torturous; Beiber was singing a mash up of his hits. The effects were immediate.

"Baby, baby, baby, OOOOOHHHHH," Beiber crooned.

Mario suppressed his vomit.

"If I were your boyfriend…"

His legs felt weak. His heart beat so hard his body seemed to give spasms.

"I'd never let you go."

Now somebody was dancing. There were two of them, now three or four. No, he was just seeing double. Or was he hallucinating?

"I can take you places you ain't never been before."

With that, Mario passed out. But the song seemed to have a different effect on Luigi, who was having the best time of his life. "Wahoo! A-Mario, dance with a-me! Oh! What's a-wrong?"

No answer.

"NOOOOO! Who attacked Mario?"

"I did," a voice replied.

"Help! Who is it?"

"You already know who it is! It's JC." Beiber's music suddenly cut out.

"Who's JC? Is this just an elaborate advertisement? For JCPenny?"

"That's what someone says when they see the elaborate fashion of JOHN CENA!"

*DUN DUN DUN DUN!*

Cena jumped out of a bush, dressed in a ridiculous dress. Instantly, Luigi felt the immense pain of Cena's theme song. He started to see in double. Within seconds, the world started to fade away. "We got one!!!" Cena shouted with joy.

Unfortunately, the same song that was quickly defeating Luigi immediately revived Mario, who woke to a state of euphoria. It was the most beautiful tune ever conceived. But he looked over at Luigi, bent over, about to collapse. And he remembered what was happening.

"We better get out of here."

With that, Mario yanked Luigi's arm, with barely enough energy to hold on. It was the most frightening chase. Over rocks they went; Cena gave chase, but slowed down as he tripped over his dress multiple times, and the music faded as he fell behind. The door was so close: just maybe a quarter mile away. But as he approached the front porch, Mario came to a terrible realization.

"How do we get through the door?"

... or is it a mirage?

With Cena not far behind, there was not much time to think. The gigantic door, made from the same material as the border wall, was impossible to break down with fists alone. Desperate, Mario rang the doorbell. Something clicked.

But the door would not open… Cena was closing in. Although something was starting to rumble.

It was getting louder. And louder. Soon, the sound was deafening. It was as if something large was rolling at the door. Cena was only a few meters away.

Mario jumped to the side and pulled an unconscious Luigi away. Alas, Cena was now at an arm's length from the Bros. He was coming in for a mighty Cena punch. But he was noticeably standing in front of the door…

With that, the door exploded into thousands of pieces. The Bros. were still ducking from a punch that would never come. In the moment, gorgeous music was forming and slowly fading. As the dust cleared, a giant wrecking ball was seen flying away, with Miley Cyrus on top. She had fulfilled her job of smashing open the door when a guest rung the doorbell. Away she flew, far, far away. She was never seen from again, but would always be engrained in the Bros' minds as their first time seeing an angel.

Mario and Luigi, both fully revived but still reeling from the shock, stepped over Cena's defeated body, took the coins from his pockets, and walked through the doorway. They had done it. They were finally in Trump Castle. They could almost see Donald glowing in the distance...

It's aMAZEing

Written by: Meta Knight (talk)

Quick question: who is one of the most iconic villains of all time? Why, Bowser, of course. The Koopa King has been around for so long and has been through so much. I think its time to pay a tribute to him by spreading the famous emblem. Whether it's on a flag in his castle or a wretched Bowser Space, when you see this symbol, you know that this Koopa is going to do something wild.

How to play:

  • Copy the image in an art program (such as Paint, Photoshop, paint.net, etc.)
  • Click the line tool and adjust the size as needed

Picross

Written by: The Pyro Guy (talk)

MARIO PAINT

A game released in 1992 for the SNES, this was an inspiration game used to create primitive works of art, as well as music, stamps, and animations. It inspired the likes of WarioWare D.I.Y., and has also been used to create decent compositions on the Internet. Today I've created some picture puzzles based on certain parts of the game.

How to play:

  • Each number on a row or column represents a line of filled in squares on that row or column.
  • There must be at least one blank square in-between each line of squares.
  • Do it right and you can create a picture!
