Tatsumi Kimishima (君島 達己) was the fifth president of Nintendo, being appointed to presidency in September 2015 after Satoru Iwata's death in office in July 2015.[1] Before his role as president of Nintendo, he was Pokémon USA's Chief Financial advisor and CEO of Nintendo of America from 2002 to 2006, as well as a managing director at Nintendo, at the human resources division. Kimishima has also worked for 27 years at the Sanwa Bank of Japan, prior to working for Nintendo.

According to the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, Kimishima had predicted that the Wii U console would not be successful, primarily because it was too similar to the Wii[1]; however, he denied that in an investor meeting.[2] He had plans to continue in Iwata's direction and was focused on Nintendo's efforts to enter the mobile market.[1]

Tatsumi Kimishima stepped down as president on June 28, 2018, succeeded by Shuntaro Furukawa. Kimishima served the shortest term of any president of the company, having been president for just under three years.[3]
