Article Name

Here is part of a message I put on User:Stumpers' talk page:

I don't know if it's "this world" or "This World". The text written here says "In this world, trophies fight." But at the same moment, the header for the entry says "This World...". It may have been because they had to capitalize it because it was a header, but I still think it's signifying that it's the actual name of the place. So, while not 100% sure, I have moved the article to This World. I'll try bringing it up on the talk page again, to see what others' opinions are.

So, just checking if no one has problems about the name it is now, or if anyone has a good arguement to make it decapitalized. Marcelagus (T • C • E)

There is that thing about the Ancient Minister trophy description: I hear it's the only "in-game" reference to the name of the world, and it's written, "this world" rather than "This World." The old Wiki standby has been to take video games above websites when it comes to these things, and considering thta the website used both proper and improper forms of the name, I think that, "this world" may be a better fit. Yeah, but when they decapitalize "this world", It seems like they're just talking about the particular world they are in(this world, that world). When non-capitalized, it's not really siginifying that it's the name of the place. Like, when I say "I live here", that doesn't mean the town I live is named "Here". But you're right, it hardly matters. But we're looking for a name, and not an "official". This article will never be found by somebody looking for it because it uses a totally undescriptive phrase. Why does it have to be conjectural then? Why not just call it: "World of Subspace Emmissary," "World of Super Smash Bros. Brawl," or "World of Super Smash Bros." At least then you're avoiding conjecture as much as possible. Besides, Cobold: we can always make a redirect page at "World of Trophies" that would lead here. That's what we've always done previously whenever something has a name that few will get exactly (Super Mario RPG leading to Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for example). how do you know its called "this world"? on reading the usage, it seems as if the writing "In this world, trophies fight." the writer is saying "in the world I am talking about....."

"World of Trophies" is both official and appears in the game itself, as a movie clip. At the first select screen of the game go to Data, then Movies, then Subspace Emissary, and the first movie is called "The World of Trophies" (This is actually the movie introducing the Midair Stadium, Mario, Kirby, Peach and Zelda as well as the World in general). -- AM666999talk 19:26, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

I say we merge this article into the Subspace emissary because it doesn't really deserve to stand on its own and it's a stub.

2. Edofenrir (talk) - This is somewhat ironic, but Arend's oppose vote just made something clear to me that makes me support. The Subspace Emissary is a game mode, and we don't give game modes separate articles (Adventure Mode doesn't have an article, f.e.). Therefore, consistency and our policy dictates that the Subspace Emissary article has no grounds to exist (because it's just a game mode), and the two articles must be merged. However, rather than merging WoT into the SE, we will have to do it the other way around and merge the SE into this article. If you don't want to create a huge disconsistency with our other content, please reconsider your votes.
3. Fawfulfury65 (talk) Per Edo, we don't give game modes articles.
4. Rise Up Above It (talk) Per Edo now. Even Knife said something similar in the comments. Not so sure about WoT & game mode, but yeah, I'm supporting.

Walkazo (talk) - Stubs should be expanded, not deleted: this subject is fairly significant (if the Ancient Minister got an article, the the entire world that the Subspace Emissary is set it should qualify as well), and the current article isn't actually that bad. It's only labelled a stub because it could be so much better (i.e. sections for each geographical area and links to all the articles dealing with them, such as The Lake or Sea of Clouds).
2. MrConcreteDonkey (talk) Per Walkazo. This is the whole world where the whole SSE took place, so it's more than deserving to have its own article. Anyway, the page isn't a stub, the second section is.
3. Arend (talk) Don't forget that the SSE is a game mode (or story, and the World of Trophies is a location. Whether SSE is a mode or story, it is anyways different than a location. Also, per all.

Well, Walkazo made me think for a bit. But still, the article is kind of bad. Most information in the article can be found in the Subspace Emissary one. The World of Trophies should include the levels and such, but the Subspace Emissary has the information. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 01:34, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

I suggest merging all the individuals stages into this one, seeing as the stages aren't very detailed in-game and would be better if they were merged together.--Knife (talk) 15:26, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
