- Also, Wario World was released only a month later, but the game was originally announced at E3 2002 so the public would've known about it already. A game doesn't have to be out yet to be referenced. For example, Yoshi's design in Crafted World appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 4 months earlier. --
