Emblems on Stages

On the Stages section, shouldn't we add the Emblems to them? We did it to the Characters Section, so why not the Stages? My Bloody Valentine

That could happen. Go for it DP.Knife (talk) 14:14, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

Forget it, Cobold removed the Emblems, and added them to the Infobox. It looks neater this way, so, forget about it. My Bloody Valentine

Unlockables Not Going To Be Mentioned in Updates

I've heard that Masahiro said in an interview that he was not going to reveal any new unlockable characters in one of his interview preceding the week he started updating smashbros. Could someone confirm this if this is true? And also, could it mean that Ike isn't an unlockable?Knife (talk) 14:19, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

Maybe, sorry, I can't help you with that. But, that could mean Ike isn't unlockable. We will have to wait and see. You Americans only have to wait another 4 or 5 Months. I have to wait til next year. My Bloody Valentine
I'm confused wiht that :P DP: Sorry to hear that :(  XzelionETC
Sorry to hear what? My Bloody Valentine

Maybe thats why Snake has not been posted in the official site. Javier12345

DP: Sorry to hear that Brawl won't be released for a while in Au. Javier: You're probably right.  XzelionETC
What about Meta Knight thought? This mean he unlockable too? Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!
Jorge, remember, the updates haven't finished yet. Meta Knight might just be around the corner. AND, he has been seen in screenshots on that site. Just because he hasn't been confirmed YET, doesn't mean he won't ever. My Bloody Valentine
What we should remember before making these conclusions is that our source for this was an interview, not a conclusive message on the website. I don't think it should be like Sakurai to reveal this, as he puts huge emphasis on accomplishments, stat tracking, ect. This makes me think that he wouldn't, but then again, he might decide later to make a character unlockable, too. What I'm saying is that until there's a sure-fire message given to us, we shouldn't put these conclusions in the article without note of how we arrived at them. But you probably weren't going to anyway! :) Stumpers!
Also, does anyone remember that mesage above Ike's profile? I don't remember that happening with other characters. Plus, aren't all the other Fire Emblem characters unlockable. But for now, we'll just have to wait.--Toa Waluigi 19:23, 9 August 2007 (EDT)

Do you guys see the little thing on top of their that says warning challenger aproaching that means you do have to unlock them and nobody say that mabye beacause they r knew characters Pit, Zero Suit Samus, and Wario did knot have that when they were on the web King Mario f_KMThumbm_38614a2.png

Good observation. If you're right, I hope we'll remember this and congradulate you! Stumpers! 10:37, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
I guess it means that it's some newcomer who hasn't been revealed yet by any source. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:20, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Ganondorf and Sheik

Theres apparently been an information leak: [1]. -- Sir Grodus

Is this 100% true? My Bloody Valentine

Well, anyone know if Game Informer and Go Nintendo are acurate? -- Sir Grodus

Never heard of that sites. In my eyes it's still very unlikely that Sheik will return. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:36, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
GameInformer is a very real and very legitimate and credible magazine. I would definitely believe it. SaltyTalk! 00:45, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
It may be legitimate in that it's a print source, but haven't there been lots of errors made, like on release dates and specifics? Plus, just because someone claims to have submitted a design, it doesn't mean the character will be in the final cut. Remember how Super Mario 64 was meant to have Luigi? I'll bet that Nintendo had its designers create a 3D model, etc. for him, but he still didn't get in the game. Stumpers!

I don't remember anyone ever saying Luigi was going to be in Super Mario 64... -- Sir Grodus

Actually, Sigeru Miyamoto himself stated that he was originally going to be. That was a main draw of the cancelled sequel: Luigi would be playable. I don't remember exactly how close they were to getting Luigi in the package, though. I believe he was playable under testing situations, though. I think the interview was on IGN.com if you're wondering. Stumpers!

Peach

Peach is now confimed in Brawl check out the website smashbros.com U'll se her next 2 Zelda and Kirby in a pic.

User:King Mario

And?  XzelionETC
We'll have to wait for an image which shows her alone to add it to the table. Her name is already there. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:32, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
Its not confirmed shes playable either.  XzelionETC
I have already argued on this. She is playable. If you want to argue whether one and one is two without your maths book saying so, what would you do? Peach's the most likely character to return who hasn't been revealed yet, she is shown acting playable among other playable characters. Oh my, Captain Obvious, help me! - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:35, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
Cobold, that was very rude. You've made your point, Peach is playable, OK, fine, we know that now. I just wanted to wait til we had official art of her before adding her, that is all. My Bloody Valentine
I didn't think I attacked anyone here. But I'm not too good in recognizing that either, that's the problem. Anyone got offended? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:31, 9 August 2007 (EDT)

References

Though I don't want to exactly copy Wikipedia's style, we have to be careful with everything we put on the page. Unofficial sources are coming up here and there, and it might be confusing what is for sure, especially in the Notes section. I think we should add a reference, some external link to the page at the Dojo, to the major revelations, to retain some official style. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:29, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Being like Wikipedia in professionalism isn't a bad thing. I think you're right. Stumpers! 10:36, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Sonic Logo Hidden in Brawl Screenshot

Alright guys, I was going to put this on the page but I'll check it with you guys first. This is link to a screenshot from Brawl recently put on the Smash Bros Dojo website. It's a picture of Zero Suit Samus in a room full of moniters. Now the image below this text was posted on The Wiire boards by Shawn White, senior editor of The Wiire, a popular website about the Wii (probably the best for news). He zoomed in on and sharpened one of the smaller screens: sonicinbrawl.jpg

It clearly shows the Sonic logo. I believe Shawn, I don't think he edited the logo in. If anyone else wants to zoom in and sharpen it to see if it's really there be my guest.

Sakurai is very sneaky ;) SaltyTalk! 00:55, 4 August 2007 (EDT)

Hmmm. Oh wow. How legit..... I checked it in Paint, Photoshop, image viewer, I compared with the original......SaudyTalk!

I don't think we should add this. For all we know, it could be fake. My Bloody Valentine
So it's real? The Sonic logo is really there? I'll put something on the page then (or someone should [or we could all decide]). SaltyTalk! 01:19, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
Pokemon DP, Shawn White is a very trustworthy guy, he reports facts on The Wiire, I don't think he wouyld decide to lie about this all of a sudden. Besides, even in the original small screenshot you can kinda make it out. SaltyTalk! 01:19, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
But, this just SCREAMS speculation. How do we know if it is Sonic or not? Just keep it out, OK. Wait for the game to be released. My Bloody Valentine
Well no one said this means Sonic is in Brawl, I'm just saying that, for a fact, the Sonic Logo is there. Hey, maybe they decided to put it there for no reason, see if people find it, get their hopes up and disappoint them when no Sonic characters, items, stages, or Assist trophies are in Brawl. That would made perfect sense. SaltyTalk! 01:28, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
That doesn't sound like Nintendo. I'd be devastated if that happened. But, seriously, don't put this Image up. It is very speculative. My Bloody Valentine
That sounds very much like Nintendo, DPSaudyTalk!
Just wait until Dojo confirms it, if so. It could a cameo for all we know. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 01:43, 4 August 2007 (EDT)

There's a whole section on this page for speculated characters, DP. I'm at least putting a note of it there. SaltyTalk! 02:05, 4 August 2007 (EDT)

Kay-O. Now, THAT'S OK, but putting the Image up would've been excessive. Kay-O, go ahead. My Bloody Valentine
I don't think he intended to put up the image and make big deal out of it. >,>SaudyTalk!
Now that's cool. This definitely means that Sonic will be in Brawl, whether he is a cameo or a playable character. But again, it wouldn't hurt to at least link the image as a source when adding that info.Knife (talk) 12:48, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
that image was long proven to be a shopped fake made by a YTMND member. it's not real. (Tirkaro 21:03, 6 August 2007 (EDT))
He's right. I looked at the REAL Image close up, this one's a phony. My Bloody Valentine
Aww… phooey, he's right. Though I made this animated GIF if anyone's interested, the sign in the back does slightly resemble the Sonic Team logo.

Snake's symbol?

Why does Snake has no symbol? Javier12345

It has not yet been revealed by the official website. We will have to wait until his profile gets up. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:59, 5 August 2007 (EDT)
Which might be never. He may be unlockable, and I don't think the site will put up Unlockable characters. My Bloody Valentine
Uh... I have found his symbol, along with some others, but, it doesn't match with the rest. Here it is. Tell me what I should do, upload it, or forget it. My Bloody Valentine
We're probably going to get one from the main website soon enough, but you could probably use that for now if you really wanted to. Stumpers!

Should we add the Metal Gear stage?

I found these images of Snake's stage. Could we add this to the article?

I would if I were you. I know that the Nintendo Database calls that place Alaska, if you need a name. I know we have all this nice, organized information coming at us from the source from Smash Bros. Dojo, but that isn't the only source we can use (heck, we're a Wiki, so we can use anything trustworthy). Stumpers!

Character Sections

As it stands we have a gallery of character images, and then many paragraphs below all of them that talk about all of the characters at once. Would it make more sense to give each character his or her own section, and include all of his or her information, including redesigns, etc.? I think it would make for a more accessible encyclopidia experience. Stumpers!

I think it would make more sense to expand the section when the game is out and we know more about them. SaltyTalk! 23:38, 8 August 2007 (EDT)
I think it would make more sense to describe all that on the character page.Knife (talk) 00:55, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
I thought we should wait for the game to be released, and then create character bios like on the other SSB articles. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:40, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
Well, right now we also know some of the moves for some of the characters in this game and have articles for them. Let's say I just stumbled across this page from Google and didn't know about the separate attack articles. I would be very impressed to see links to the attack articles nearby the characters' pictures. You're right though, the other information about changes and stuff visually would actually work better in each characters' articles. As it stands, if someone was curious, we have the official artwork and screenshots from both games that someone could compare. They would get more out of that than a written description. I could see us doing a side-by-side comparison, though. Stumpers!
Yes, I think it would make more sense to describe all that on the character page.Knife (talk) 19:48, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
Cool. I'll see what I can get around to... but that might take ages, for anyone feeling active right now. Stumpers!
What is "the character page"? Are you talking about the characters' respective pages? There we should make a comparison between screenshots and official artwork of all games they have appeared in? It does sound good, but I don't know if I understood your idea correctly in the first place. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 03:51, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
Oh, I thought your idea was to move all the information to the respective character pages elsewhere. But if that wasn't your point, I still think the comparisons would be good there. But on this page, I was thinking we should do something like this:

Character Name
--picture--
(General info regarding fighting styles, ect.)
Standard Special Move:
Up Special Move:
Forward Special Move:
Down Special Move:
Final Smash:
Stumpers! 11:50, 10 August 2007 (EDT)

So generally, an adaption of {{SSB fighter infobox}}? I'd be up for it. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:51, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
I came up with this design. Two of those boxes would fit in one row? What do you think? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:14, 10 August 2007 (EDT)

Remove the italics and I support (I dislike italics, go figure, but whatev its your choice).Knife (talk) 16:43, 10 August 2007 (EDT)

BRILLIANT! I love the idea. And I see someone already took the liberty! ;) Stumpers!

Fixitup just copied the exact character bios from the official website right into the sections on this page. I doubt that that should be this way, we should keep an original style here, and the descriptions aren't that neutral in point-of-view on the website either. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 14:53, 12 August 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, it kind of contradicts the "DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION!" rule at the bottom of all edit pages... :( Stumpers! 10:35, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Speculated Characters

Should not it say something about an Animal Crossing character in Brawl? Javier12345

We already had some information on, but I removed it. I didn't like the whole speculation only because an emblem had been revealed, it seemed all too far-fetched for me. If we have to add speculation, we should base it on more reliable material. It can easily be that they created the emblem only for the stage, you know. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:30, 12 August 2007 (EDT)
And the Pitfall item. After they released that, it was sort of like, "Okay, the series is represented extensively, so there's an emblem, but that doesn't mean anything... yet." I'm still holding out for Mr. Resetti, though. Stumpers! 10:33, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Box Art

I found some Box Art on SSBB. It is likely just the working Box Art, but, should I upload it anyway? My Bloody Valentine

Where did you find the Boxart? The IGN one looks like they composed it themselves from official artwork to have one as a placeholder before the real one is revealed. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 04:49, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
Uh, that's what I found. It has a bunch of official artwork mushed into the Box Art. Maybe it is fake :P My Bloody Valentine
That's what I was thinking, that it was created by IGN themselves. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:08, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

Stickers = Trophies

Does any 1 else here think that they replaced the trophies wit stickers because I do well just wonderin beacuse from the looks of it, it seem that they did King Mario f_KMThumbm_38614a2.png

I doubt it. Besides, the line "Stickers are easier to get a hold of than trophies" makes it seem like trophies are still going to be in as well. If Stickers replaced Trophies, that would suck.Knife (talk) 17:33, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

Trophies already appeared in the story mode, why shouldn't they appear as collectibles again? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 04:51, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
I agree with Knife and Cobold, the Trophies will definetely reappear. My Bloody Valentine

Tether Recovery

We have it currently written that Zero Samus's B Up move is Tether Recovery, but as far as I can figure I believe Tether Recovery is simply a tactic such as wall jumping. Wall jumping, if you remember from Melee, allowed certain players (Mario, Young Link, etc.) to leap off of walls for recovery. Sakurai writes that many characters will have Tether Recovery, which could simply mean that it was the move utilized by Link with his Hookshot in Melee. Therefore, I feel that this move isn't Zero Samus's B Up, but rather a general tactic. Stumpers! 18:29, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

I fixed it, don't worry. My Bloody Valentine

Yeah, sorry, my bad; since we had a slot labeled Up Special Move and its called her Up Special Move on the site, I just stuck it there. -- Sir Grodus

Thanks, DP. Oh, and Grodus, it's fine; this is just a pre-release article anyway. We'll figure everything out by release time. :) Stumpers! 13:29, 17 August 2007 (EDT)

Peach

Ok, now we have 2 facts:

  • Peach is in Brawl
  • Toad will not be in Brawl

Max2 (talk)

Peach has her own section in the veteran fighters table and Toad is listed as one of her moves. What's the problem? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:50, 17 August 2007 (EDT)

I'm just saying. We can now stop all that "ZOMG TOAD IN BRALL!!!!111one!3.14!!!" stuff. Max2 (talk)

Peach Abbilities

Isn't Peach Bomper the attack seen in one screenshot? Javier12345

Peach Bomber does create an explosion. The screenshot merely shows a Grab move, which looks alike the Bomber, and looked this also in Melee. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 18:14, 17 August 2007 (EDT)

you are right.Javier12345

Moves

Where were all those moves confirmed that have been added? I didn't see them anywhere in the trailers, and I doubt you can say anything about Yoshi's move yet appart from those seen in his profile. Please give sources, no speculation, or it'll be reverted. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:05, 19 August 2007 (EDT)

Subspace Emissary?

Should we create an own page for the Subspace Emissary, just explaining everything we see in the adventure mode, or should it stay on this page? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:08, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

We have a page on the Subspace Emissary. My Bloody Valentine Put it all there.
No we don't, it's a redirect to this page. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:13, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
Oops, so it is. OK, turn it into an actual page. My Bloody Valentine I'm so stupid :P
I'm just wondering whether it would be ok to create a separate page for the Adventure Mode here, as there have been disagreements (from my side, too) to create a page for the Adventure Mode of Melee. Maybe we'd need a proposal. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:19, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
Ah, yes. I love those Proposals. They really helped us out here. OK, put this on the Proposal page. My Bloody Valentine

This may be an odd question, but couldn't the fact that he was about to battle with Kirby make it possible that he's playable?--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom  --

I don't think so. His size just doesn't match the other characters by far, he's at least five times taller than Peach or Zelda and some twenty times taller than Kirby, I want you see playing that on a regular battle stage. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 06:37, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Isn't it a bit contradicting that the official site claimed "This is no time to get kidnapped." in Peach's profile a few days ago, and now, Peach is captured by Petey Piranha? Or where they only making a joke in the profile? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:09, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

I guess it was a joke.Knife (talk) 15:24, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Yeah Petey might playable if he was shown in the movie King Mario f_KMThumbm_38614a2.png

There might be a "Giga" Petey, and a normal Petey. The normal Petey is only the size of Bowser, and the Giant Petey we saw was the size of Giga Bowser. Think about it, have you ever heard the normal Petey roar like that? So, you may have a normal, playable Petey, and a "Giga" Petey. My Bloody Valentine Considering that Giga Bowser is now playable.

Darn it looks like Petey will just be a mini game King Mario f_KMThumbm_38614a2.png

Mini-Game? You mean Boss. He is the first Boss of the Subspace Emissary. My Bloody Valentine Also, disregard the Giga Petey thing. :P

Wi-Fi

Wbhere is it confirmed that Brawl has Wi-Fi? This question came up to me when I read page 12 of the newest issue of Nintendo Power, in a pulse question. NP wrote back, "While we agree that the inclusion of an online multiplayer would be awesome, its hardly time to push the panic button. We haven't hear one way or another, but we'll report when we do.". Where is the proof that Wi-Fi is making it to the game?Knife (talk) 13:16, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

Yeah, I guess the official info was just that they want to include Wi-Fi. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:24, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

I guess I can remove that part then....Knife (talk) 13:28, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

Characters Abilities

I think we should remove the abilities of each character that are not confirmed, for example no kirby abilities have been confirmed, like swallow being his standard move or toad being Peach standard move. Javier12345

Toad has been confirmed. Kirby's abilities are mainly confirmed through screenshots, not through an actual update on the website. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:55, 9 September 2007 (EDT)
yes, I know they are confirmed, but how can we know toad is Peach standard move?. Its like what happen with Mario Tornado just because we saw it in screenshots we believed that it was his down special move and it was F.L.U.D.D. Do you want more mistakes like these happen? I think we should wait until they are confirmed in the official site as being standard move or down, up or side special move.Javier12345
We are putting them on as a means of showing what some of their attacks are. We might get it wrong, but we can always change it around. We, as a Wiki, are about gathering as much information as we can, and the characters abilities is good information, that can be edited and changed if we are proven wrong. My Bloody Valentine

Again?

Why isn't Sonic in the speculated characters section?F g

New Movie

Beneath the announcement of Sonic the Hedgehog was a short little movie for Nintendo Conference Fall 2007. There's a bunch of new Pokemon shown in that clip along with a special move of Peach's in which she dances and sings, making everyone around her do the same (sort of like Jigglypuff's Sing). So, one of the moves assumed to be her special moves based on those four screenshots must not really be a special move after all, kinda like how Mario's B Down attack was replaced with the FLUDD. And, you are telling this, why? Even if it is a Special Move, it has no place here until we have official confirmation. Everyone is going on like "This MIGHT be this, and that MIGHT be that", which is NOT what we are about! We are an encyclopedia, we can't predict ANYTHING! We must gather the facts, not opinions. Peach's dance/sing move may or may NOT be a special move, or it may be a new Taunt. If you notice, Kirby twirled around in the same trailer, something not seen in previous games. So, is this a new special move? It might just be a new taunt. You cannot guess anything, you must have official confirmation. My Bloody Valentine
HOWEVER! You can indeed mention this on Peach's article. Just don't go saying it is, as a fact, a new special move, because that kind of information is false information. I suppose guessing is OK, as long as you don't state that, for example, that dance/sing move is a special move. Say something like "This move might be a special move, but may simply be a new taunt" or something like that. Treat it like it is unconfirmed, don't treat it as a fact. My Bloody Valentine
I didn't notice Peach, but Zelda's move is possibly what they said about the mysterious Power-up in the Subspace Emissary. Though it wasn't on a special stage... - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:12, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
Sorry, DP! Didn't know that a talk page is as strict as the article on new info. Guess stuff has changed in my two month absence. HOWEVER! You're forgetting that NONE of Peach's moves are officially confirmed! "We are an encyclopedia, we can't predict ANYTHING!" <--darn tootin'! So, we shouldn't be assuming that she has all the same special moves especially since several other characters are getting move swaps (Mario, Link, etc.) So, my logic is, "Oh, here's a non-standard move performed Peach. It must be special. Therefore, our !!SPECULATION!! must be false. We should remove it." And we know it's not a taunt because no one else was dancing along with Kirby while Peach was making Bowser dance. Either that or the taunt system is going to be changed up. If we're not allowed to say stuff like this, even when it's backed up by reasoning, we may want to edit this fellow: {{upcoming}}, which states that "Content of a speculative nature is allowed." Stumpers! 23:28, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
I am merely saying that it is a new move, and you cannot automatically assume it will replace one of her older moves. But, w/e, do what you want. If you want to replace one of her attacks on this article with an unofficially named move, then go ahead. My Bloody Valentine And, also, I didn't mean to come across rude or strict. I just find saying it like that seems to get peoples attention, that's all, I have no intention on hurting anyones feelings.
Ignore everything I've said here. You are correct, content of a speculative nature is allowed. However, at this current moment, just mention that dancing trick on Peach's article. Wait a little while before replacing one of her attacks on this article with that move, OK? My Bloody Valentine
Hoo... I got busy this week and couldn't do it, but now the attack has been confirmed: it's a final smash. Stumpers! 07:01, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
Well, more of a part of her Final Smash. Also, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings earlier. My Bloody Valentine

Release date

Is it possible that the release date is going to be changed or is it something for sure? Javier12345

For sure. The Japanese date has been moved to January, the American date, which was previously December 3rd, is now again marked as "TBD" by the official website. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:04, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

GameVideos.com trailers

This and this video were uploaded to GameVideos.com. Are they official? They reveal a beta character selection screen. Looks like a demo they're playing. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:46, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Next one uploaded, seems to be an event where you can play the games' demos, there's SMG in the background. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:56, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Gamevideos.com has unveiled a boatload of new videos, which showcase unique stuff like in-game intros, like in SSB. -- Sir Grodus

Huh, in this video, the Final Smash of Sonic is called 'Super Sonic', so at this moment isn't conjectual, i think--Caith Sith 17:59, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

That doesn't mean anything. That was just some guy saying it, and if you notice, he said "And then Sonic just turns into Super Sonic" meaning he TRANSFORMS into Super Sonic. So, that means it is NOT the official name... yet. My Bloody Valentine

Peanut, Power Suit: Items?

We've currently listed Peanuts and the Power Suit as items in the item header. However, for Melee, we didn't list Vegetable. I don't think items which are only produced by moves should count as "items" in that way. We also didn't list Melee's Apples. Which way should we go? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:07, 13 October 2007 (EDT)

I would say they count as items. They can be used by any player at any time, so items produced from attacks do count. My Bloody Valentine
