Purple?/Violet?

For the fourth Star Piece, the correct color/variation is violet, NOT purple. The Star Pieces are based upon the seven colors of the rainbow (in which the official code or acronym is ROYGBIV), and the color purple is OBVIOUSLY not one of the seven colors of the rainbow, therefore whatever many thousands of people incorrectly refer to as purple is actually violet. The color purple is ACTUALLY a mix of violet and pink, since red and blue make violet. The color/variation purple is equivalent to red-violet. Since the Star Pieces are based upon the rainbow colors, the color for the fourth Star Piece is violet. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 01:32, 17 April 2012 (EDT)

Source for color names?

I thought, if anything, that the color names would follow the typical Nintendo scheme, as seen later in Superstar Saga and the color names for the Yoshis; that is, that the fifth Star Piece would be called Blue rather than Indigo, and that the first would be called Light Blue (or Azure) rather than Blue. I realize that both "azure" and "indigo" are types of blue, but Nintendo has tended to use "blue" for the deeper and darker blues. Julyo (talk) 01:50, 17 April 2015 (EDT)
