Just to ask, is it ever officially stated if Spike and Iggy's last names are Koopa? They are related to King Koopa afterall. -- Sir Grodus

Well, cousins can have different last names.... - Ultimatetoad

Yes, but theres still a chance they could have the same last names, does it mention anywhere that they do? -- Sir Grodus

Not to my knowledge... course, it's been a while since I watched the movie, but I'm fairly certain. - Ultimatetoad

Move to "Spike (Super Mario Bros. film)"?

One could think that the article is about a film called spike. I propose to move it to the above title; any objections? Time Questions 11:40, 19 December 2009 (EST)

I dunno, the content explains clearly it's a character and not a film :P However, it couldn't the article be "Spike (film character)", or it sounds ambiguous?

"film character" would work as well, I think. I found this article in the Category:Non-Game Enemies and actually thought it was a film called Spike before I read the article... Time Questions 12:00, 19 December 2009 (EST)

I agree. Though I would prefer "Film Character". --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 12:06, 19 December 2009 (EST)

Okay. Same goes for this one as well. Time Questions 12:10, 19 December 2009 (EST)

OK, all decided. Move these characters to "film characters."

"Spikeasaurus"

Okay, where exactly do you people keep getting these nicknames? Redstar 18:36, 19 December 2009 (EST)

I remember having heard this nickname in the movie itself. Unfortunately I only watched the German localization. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 18:38, 19 December 2009 (EST)
I own the movie and have it on-hand. Actually watched it over a half-dozen times or so the last month. Never heard either nickname, though I am of course watching the Region 1 American release. Redstar 18:41, 19 December 2009 (EST)
I watched the movie a few months back (Canadian English version) and took meticulous notes, including Iggy's use of the nickname "Spikeasaurus" (as the subtitles spell it) for his cousin. "Iggylosaurus", on the other hand, was not in the movie and that page should be deleted. - Walkazo 18:46, 19 December 2009 (EST)
Do you recall which scene? I'll watch it myself to confirm the presence. Redstar 18:51, 19 December 2009 (EST)
No, but looking at the notes that come before my "Spikeasaurus" memo, it occurs after the scene where Koopa makes his creepy pass at Daisy; it's said some time between Mario's "No one can resist the charm of a Mario." line, and his "I'd high-five you, but then you'd be an only child." line. - Walkazo 19:01, 19 December 2009 (EST)
That's a lot of film to cover, but I watched it and didn't hear it a single time. Redstar 19:11, 19 December 2009 (EST)
It might not have been in that section - my notes got a bit jumbled up by my mother's cleaning, and I was being optimistic when I assumed they were in chronological order. But I have "Spikeasaurus" written down, and I distinctly remember hearing the name and checking the spelling (left to my own devices, I had guessed it was spelt "Spikesaurus" so seeing the sub-titles left an impression). So, either I've completely lost my mind and started writing down things that did not happen, or I simply gave you the wrong section of the movie. If I owned the movie, I'd find the scene myself, but sadly, I have not rented it since some time last year (I can't remember exactly when that happened either). The only other section I can recommend checking off the top of my head is when they're stalking Daisy in the human world (when she meets Luigi). - Walkazo 19:56, 19 December 2009 (EST)
One of us is losing our mind, because I can't find it. You can watch the movie in parts starting here on Youtube, if you want to try to find it yourself. Redstar 20:38, 19 December 2009 (EST)
Unfortunately my brother's monopolized the only YouTube-compatible computer in our household for the entire weekend and most of Monday - but once his marathon's over, I'll be sure to watch the movie. - Walkazo 21:21, 19 December 2009 (EST)

Like I said in the reference, "Spikeasaurus" occurs at the 8:12 mark of this part of the movie. It's a pretty random occurrence, and unless you're listening for it (or have the subtitles on), it could easily be missed. - Walkazo 02:30, 23 December 2009 (EST)

I hate you. XD
Nice catch. Redstar 02:33, 23 December 2009 (EST)
