merge 6-1
Both of these are Snifit toys, are simply known as Snifits in English and Japanese sources, and their internal filenames are one and the same. In March of the Minis, Mini Marios were allowed to jump and stand on several enemies' heads. This mechanic was removed in Minis March Again!, which necessitated visual indicators to make that more clear (ie. Snifits' spikes and Shy Guys' spears); however, later games in the series reverted the enemies' appearances while still leaving out the head-hopping, so landing on a Snifit (and Shy Guy) still destroys Mini Marios. Snifits in Minis March Again! and Mini-Land Mayhem! are more similar to each other than the Snifits originally seen in March of the Minis. Bottom line, the spikes/spears were merely an aesthetic only used once to easily denote the change in gameplay, but weren't needed again.

Oppose

  1. Yoshi the SSM (talk) Even though they are simular, there is a notable difference. Toy Snifits go foward then shot and this makes them go backwars (to be clear, I talking about Miniland Mayhem version). Toy Pokey is more similar than this.

Comments

@Yoshi the SSM - I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. Comparing the three directly, the only difference is that March of the Minis allows Mini Marios to jump on these enemies (along with a few others) due to manual control over their actions, ones from Minis March Again! are slightly slower, and the ones from Mini-Land Mayhem! have the quickest movement speed. The animations also seem to be identical in the latter two games with the exception of the spikes, whereas they have fewer frames and only move their keys when walking in the former. The attack pattern is exactly the same - stand in one spot, charge up, shoot five bullets which cause them to recoil back each time, walk back into place, then repeat. Maybe you thought I was referring to regular Snifits or something else? LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:48, 30 July 2017 (EDT)
