Official name? Time Questions 14:20, 25 April 2009 (EDT)

we could always just add a conjecture template, it wouldn't hurt. Pikmin' BluePikminKong497
Still, it would be nice to know if the name is official and thus if we need the template or not. Time Questions 06:34, 2 May 2010 (EDT)
I've seen it referred to as a Block Train, Block Snake and a Snake Block in various places, so I'm also quite curious to what the name source is for this article. This name I've only seen used to refer to the version in Mario Galaxy 2 for some reason. Cheat-master30 (talk)

Hmm

In NSMBW, blue colored Snake Blockds appear in Lemmy's Castle. They also seem to be made pf oce as Mario has horrible traction on it? Can it be dubbed something like Ice Snake Block or just put it under the article itself.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!

Uh... If it isn't officially named as "Ice Snake Block", then it would be better off just be put below the article I guess. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 04:51, 20 November 2009 (EST)
Okay.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!
Too late. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
HEY! I was gonna create that article! Drats. >_< T_T Yeah, but it should be merged with a redirect probably. --FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!

SM3DL?

Is there any official source that says that those Flipswitch-like blocks are Snake Blocks? SKmaric (talk)

I doubt any source would call them blocks, since they are flat. Acording to the (unsourced) article, they are named "Flip Panel"s or "Snake Panel"s. --Hiccup (talk) 08:38, 17 April 2015 (EDT)

Split Fast Snake Block and/or the big Snake Block from this article?

Should we split the blue Snake Block (yeah, Fast Snake Block is its official name) from it, for consistency with Fire Koopa Clown Car and Music Block? What about the New Super Mario Bros. U ones for consistency with big objects? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 01:36, June 28, 2019 (EDT)

Potentially, how about wait until people have actually had time to buy the game so opinions can be weighed easier with experience? It literally just came out where I live. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:40, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
I've found out their name on GameXplain's livestream. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 01:43, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
That's not my point. I'm saying there aren't going to be as many opinions when not a lot of people have played, because it just came out. And not everyone here can see streams, so again, please hold your horses on this and let people see for themselves first. We don't have the blue "Fast" Lava Lifts split at this current moment, after all. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:48, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
I see... --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 08:51, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
What about the big ones from New Super Mario Bros. U? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 07:10, June 29, 2019 (EDT)
Out of curiosity... What are the big ones's Japanese name? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 10:11, July 9, 2019 (EDT)
While the more significantly different Fire Koopa Clown Car and Music Block pages are split, others, such as Flimsy Lifts and the different Conveyor Belts, are not, although that might change in the future as well. There should be a consensus on what to do about all of these pages rather than deciding them individually. Master Clyde Super (talk) 18:15, July 12, 2019 (EDT)
The Flimsy Lifts haven't been split yet. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 14:15, July 18, 2019 (EDT)
Also, they seem to have a different name in every country. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 02:15, September 2, 2019 (EDT)
