It's written in plural, so I'd assume it's just meant to be a bit of bragging about Shy Guys in general. The other signs say "Beware the Paint Thieves!" and this one is different as a clue. Scrooge200 (talk) 14:56, September 18, 2020 (EDT)

Sorry to say this but I think the existance of this article is going a bit overboard. This Paint Guy does not stick around for very long, is only there to repaint the mini paint star, does not have an official name. I think this information works fine on the Paint Guy article. Nightwicked Bowser
