Yes, the official Nintendo Facebook page has text, but you have to be logged in and like the page to see it. Gold Mario

That's a good question and in fact I think that actually it's invincible Mario (he is multicolored in this form and one of these colors is gold).

I want to make it clear. NSMBW was officially called NSMB2? (I mean if Nintendo itself has declared the NSMBW can also be called NSMB2) or just an alternate title from not-official media? ¢oincoll€ctor

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the original follow-up of New Super Mario Bros. (which actually toke place some unknown amount of time after the events of Super Mario Galaxy), and I also believe it was known as New Super Mario Bros. 2 too. But everyone should know this; sometimes, developers change the titles before the release. It should have been named Super Mario 2D Land instead. By the way, despite the name sounding like a sequel, I really doubt New Super Mario Bros. 2 would take place right after New Super Mario Bros., making the game occuring before the events of Super Mario Galaxy. Since it was a follow-up, it was always known as New Super Mario Bros. 2 by fans because New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the game's sequel. There's no source that Nintendo says it was called 2. So, it was never called New Super Mario Bros. 2 by Nintendo. NSMBW is not a sequel to NSMB, rather, a follow-up for the Wii console (obviously). Fans call it NSMB2 because it's the second installment the New Super Mario Bros. sub-series. They just add numbers to the titles of sub-series' installments that only have up to 1-2 follow-ups. (Example: PM:TTYD = PM2). However, "this" NSMB2 is considered NSMB2, because this is the 2nd NSMB game to be on a handheld. I can see why you're totally confused though. xP.--UM3000

And yes, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is after the events of New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Galaxy, and New Super Mario Bros. 2 would have to be after Super Mario 3D Land, not directly after the events of New Super Mario Bros. because it has a 2. It was the same for Super Mario Bros. 2 since it wasn't a direct sequel to Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Those games are all the Super Mario series installments after all. It doesn't matter if they are on a handheld or a TV console. The chronology of the Super Mario series is not like Zelda's at all.

There's no way we would forget about a beta name, especially now. We still remember that Super Mario 3D is Super Mario 3D Land, and the things about some games that were recently released. Before was different, because the wiki was a lot different itself too, then there were lots of changes later, and the changes turned the wiki like the way it is now. So, there are things from between the classic and modern Mario sources that are forgotten or nowhere to be found again. Usually all characters from the Marioverse get a design revamp in various games they appear (specially enemies, for example the Mario Galaxy ones). No wonder they are scuttle bugs because they retain some basic characteristics.

New Super Mario bros. Mii was a TEST, right, a DEMONSTRATION. So..mabey NEW Super Mario bros. 2 and New Super Mario bros 2 are the same game! Think about it, no person would make a game from scratch and not use the technology. Mabey The NEW SUPER MARIO BROS 2 is the final version. It IS a coincidence that a year after they made the demo that a NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. was anounced, there is also the posobility of it being on the WiiU and the 3ds like MARIO AND SONIC series. So look up some info.

Games have been made purely for hardware demonstation that were not released. That's why they're called Tech Demos. Additionally, New Super Mario Bros. Mii was a Tech Demo for the Wii U to demonstrate High-Definition gameplay. And the Mario game currently in development for the Wii U is based off of the tech demo. There have been no links so far to the Wii U and 3DS Mario games upcoming, so currently they are acknowledged as seperate games. This Enemies looks like a bony enemy

The undead goombas seem to resemble Bony Beetles. Unlike Dry Bones, they can be destroyed by a stomp, a fireball, or Raccoon Mario's tail. The undead piranha plants look like they can only be beat by a fireball or Raccoon Mario. Gold Items

This Golden Mushroom, what does it do? In other languages, he really was called Kitsune Luigi. Even in Japanese, he is known as Kitsune Luigi respectly. There's no doubt that Raccoon Luigi will be respectly known as Fox Luigi. Except in Japanese because that would be Tail Luigi. We did used some titles in other languages than American too. We mostly use "Super Mario All-Stars - 25th Anniversary Edition", instead of "Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition". We can keep the article's title Raccoon Luigi (it's just an example but Raccoon Luigi surely wouldn't be the article's name though). But it won't hurt to write Fox Luigi and Kitsune Luigi everywhere else, right? It's kind of similar. Americans really need call him Fox Luigi and Kitsune Luigi, because that would cause such a terrible confusion. White Raccoon AND White Tanooki Mario?

In the forms section, both White Raccoon and White Tanooki Mario/Luigi are listed but regular Tanooki Mario/Luigi isn't. I read the source and I believe the artwork is from Super Mario 3D Land, so I think what's in the article is a typo. If you look at some of the E3 playthroughs, when Mario jumps on the undead goomba, you will notice that a gloomba, or something like it (considering Gloombas are based on the NES underground goomba coloration, this may be a similar reference) falls of screen, meaning that it may not be a skeleton goomba, but a goomba wearing a skull on it's head. -Chaoxys

Confirmed features we have yet to show

A Japanese trailer shows at the end that 5-3 is the sky level that was a grassy castle exterior level, and it might show that World 5 might be the sky world (possibly, we don't know for sure). And The American website shows that 3-1 is the Cheep-Cheep level, 2-Ghost House is the level with the Mega Boo. And Fire Snakes were confirmed to be in the game a while ago (I think 2 weeks), but haven't been added into the article. In fact, they were in several trailers. And one of the pictures in the American website show that 2-3 (I think 2-3) is a level with Spike Tops. (I could make out what they looked like) Smithuser (talk)

Info concerning the worlds

As seen here [8](simply scroll down to the third video and go to 02:00) NSMB2 has 6 main worlds and 2 secret worlds, like in NSMB, although in this one, the main worlds are numbered from 1 to 6 and the secret worlds have a ?. As I also found out, the first secret world is called W-Mushroom, and it´s a pink world with white outlined Mushrooms in the background, with a few levels, many Toad houses and a castle,where Larry Koopa is the boss. NEW artwork

In the just released Japan version of the game there was a small tricks and attacks poster similar to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 3d Land. Images include Mario carrying a koopa shell and Luigi in a bubble. it also came with a mini poster similar to the one in the new super mario bros wii trading card tins with solo art of silver Luigi, broken blocks, buzzy beatles and pirahna plants, it all takes place in an under ground level. And the Back of the cover is slightly different than the US back cover. I'll have More info...

Something to be added to the trivia section

Order of Worlds

Release

It appears that Italy gets it later than the rest of Europe. Why is that? Usually the delay is because of the multitude of European languages that the game needs to be finished translating into, but usually it's on the same day in all of Europe... Pink_Boozooka I know I'm nitpicky, but shouldn't Italy's date on the list come right after the rest of Europe, considering it's in the same region?

There kind of is because, in new super mario bros. one of the bosses was a big goomba, and the grand goomba is a boss, and last in super smash bros brawl there is an enemy specificily called “giant goomba”.

I hope this clears the confusion, I've been researching the disapearance of Fire Bros for days and looked at Streetpassdubai's videos, Ultimatepisman's videos, and GameXplain. However, 6-3 was never shown, UltimatePisman showed 6-2.

Its not a problem, and your welcome. I refused to work on my project on Zelda Wiki, until I found a Fire Bro. because I couldn't believe that they weren't in the game. So its glad to see this case solved. As such, I don't know if we have every enemy listed? The ones I'm unsure about are Blooper variations, Blooper Nanny and Blooper Baby. I haven't checked for them yet, but since they appear in both NSMB and NSMBW, I would think there could be a chance for them to appear. Also, I love your videos.... We're kinda having a mini-edit war about whether to call Luigi with the Super Leaf Raccoon or Fox Luigi. I'm kind of leaning towards Fox Luigi, as similarly Tanooki Luigi is officially called "Kitsune Luigi" and it says Luigi has a fox's ears and tail on the website.

I agree that it's best to wait until more information becomes available before we change it, but if all else fails I'd motion for "Tail Luigi" to play it safe. The reason being is that if none of the above names are official, at least we'll have the Japanese name to fall back on. Both are a bit of a misnomer; Raccoon Mario and Tanooki Mario are at least supposed to be different animals (at least in the American naming convention - I'm pretty sure they were both meant to be raccoon dogs), but kitsune literally is the Japanese word for fox so that seems more redundant. Sequels

I am not joking, trust me. A video on Nintendo eShop was released yesterday proving that Super Mario Bros. 3 is the "direct" sequel. It claims that it is the rightful successor. When they said SMB3 was the "direct" sequel, they were referring to the fact that it has things like the Super Leaf, Wooden Blocks, and such. NSMB2 is the direct sequel to NSMBDS, and NSMBW and NSMBU are not only direct sequels to each other, but follow-ups to the portable games. Add On Content

Before NSMB2 was released, there was an icon on eShop representing Add On Content however no info was given. Having said this, the official website states that new stages for Coin Rush can be purchased and received via SpotPass. Here's the link: [11] Skip to the second paragraph. Should we add the notifications that pop up when you recieve a certain of Coins? If so, let's have a thing at the top of the section that says "Note: All notifications not shown state "You collected XXX coins!" and just show the ones that appear on the title screen (they are different). As for a reference, a single screenshot of the Koopa stuck is more than enough to prove it, so long as a description can accompany it. As for the quality for the picture, you will need a decent camera and good lighting, but don't make it overly bright. Just centre the camera and rest it on a table and click the shoot button without too much shake and rumble. Screens are tricky to shoot but if anyone else knows a better method than please help us. I have found that Goombas can get stuck too. This way they 'follow' Mario. The P-Switch under the first Moon Coin must be pressed this time, and go to the left careful not to get a Goomba on the screen. When the P-Switch is about to wear off Mario must get a Goomba on screen. If done correctly the Goomba is stuck and is 'following' Mario. It's Flipthenote, here to help.

What is this for?

The article says:
